L’originalité de cet ouvrage, grâce à la diversité de ses contributeurs, est d’exposer des champs très différents dans lesquels s’induisent encore insidieusement des formes de domination. La plupart des contributeurs – historiens, littéraires, anthropologues, juristes, sociologues, géographes – sont eux-mêmes des témoins directs de ce qu’ils analysent, étant souvent confrontés à ces savoirs et modes de vie qui prétendent façonner leurs identités.
