Da una fonte di informazioni che egli chiamava "Archivio Akasico" o "Libro della Vita", Edgar Cayce era in grado di valutare lo sviluppo dei rapporti nel corso del tempo e di descrivere come le influenze e le scelte delle vite passate incidessero sul presente. Più che offrire agli individui qualche disquisizione filosofica, le sue letture descrivevano in dettaglio pareri e consigli pratici che i suoi clienti potevano utilizzare e applicare. Considerato nel suo insieme, il materiale di Cayce sulle relazioni costituisce una delle fonti di informazioni più significative sulle dinamiche di ogni tipo di interazioni umane, il fine delle nostre esperienze interrelazionali e sulla natura stessa dell'anima.
