Robert Edney was born in about 1700 or 1710. He married Ann Rencher in North Carolina. They had five children. Descendant Lewis Monroe Edney was born 5 July 1844 in Hendersonville, North Carolina. He married Mary Collins (1832-1922), daughter of Ira Collins (1801 or 1802-1886) and Drusilla Henderson, in 1869. They had three children. Descendants and relatives lived mainly in North Carolina, Kansas and Nebraska. Includes Conway, Granger, Schlager, Williams and related families.
