Masterarbeit aus dem Jahr 2017 im Fachbereich Psychologie - Allgemeine Psychologie, Note: 1,3, FernUniversität Hagen, Sprache: Deutsch, Abstract: Dürreperioden, Kriege, Trinkwassermangel, Hungersnöte, aber auch die hohen CO2-Emissionen der Nachbarländer Iran und Pakistan stellen eine immense Umweltbedrohung für Land und Leute Afghanistans dar. Zwar sind wir von Umweltbelastungen und Klimawandel weltweit alle betroffen, doch besonders an den Orten, wo in den letzten Jahren noch Kriege stattfanden, waren die Menschen zusätzlich zu Krieg und Verfolgung am stärksten von Auswirkungen des Klimawandels betroffen. Heutzutage wird Afghanistan trotz der andauernden Spannungen zwischen staatlichen und nichtstaatlichen Organisationen mühsam wieder aufgebaut. Dazu gehört auch der Wiederaufbau und die zukünftige Bewahrung der Umwelt, um Menschen eine sichere Heimat und ein sicheres Auskommen bieten zu können. Durch die Annahme des Kyoto-Protokolls am 23.06.2013 hat sich Afghanistan dem Umwelt- und Klimaschutz verpflichtet. Seitdem steht die Umweltbildung der Menschen auf der Agenda. Doch verhalten sich tatsächlich diejenigen umweltbewusster, die an Bildungsmaßnahmen zum Umweltschutz teilgenommen haben? Und wie stehen sie zu den meist westlichen wissenschaftlichen Erkenntnissen der Umweltwissenschaft und wie wirkt sich ihre Haltung zu Umwelt und Wissenschaft auf ihr Umweltbewusstsein aus? Diese und ähnliche Fragen zu Umweltbildungsmaßnahmen und Umweltschutzbemühungen in Afghanistan müssen auch im Zusammenhang mit der Ideologie der freien Marktwirtschaft gesehen werden (Hoffmann, 2009). Die westliche Wirtschaftsform, die freie Marktwirtschaft weicht von der islamischen Ökologie ab und wurde im Jahre 2004 in der neuen afghanischen Verfassung verankert (Davary, 2004). Ziel dieser Arbeit ist es, einerseits ein besseres Verständnis über die Situation und Einstellung der Menschen zu Umweltthematiken zu gewinnen und damit andererseits auf effektive Maßnahmen hinzuweisen, die langfristig das Umweltbewusstsein der Menschen stärken könnten. Laut dem BMZ hat allein Deutschland in den letzten 15 Jahren über 2,9 Milliarden Euro in die Entwicklungshilfe Afghanistans gezahlt. Die Hauptziele der Entwicklungszusammenarbeit richten sich auch auf Verbreitung von Bildung und Ausbildung im Land. Doch sind die Bildungsmaßnahmen, die sich auf die Sensibilisierung des Umweltverhaltens richten, in Afghanistan effektiv? Lassen sich die Forschungserkenntnisse, die meist aus ressourcenreichen Ländern stammen, auf ein solches Land übertragen?

Temperate forests cover large areas of Europe and perform a number of important functions such as the regulation of energy and matter, production of wood and other resources, and conservation of biodiversity and habitats; they also have special signi?cance in social and cultural contexts. Initiated in 1960s, the ?rst International Biological Program (IBP) focused on ‘‘the biological basis of productivity and human welfare. ’’ As the German contribution to the IBP, ecosystem research has been carried out since 1966 in the Solling area (Ellenberg H. , Ecological Studies 2, 1971), an upland region in Northwest Germany. This study provided clear evidence that the stability of forest ecosystems was threatened by the high inputs of at- spheric pollutants. This promoted many interdisciplinary research programs which were coordinated by Prof. Dr. Bernhard Ulrich and the Forest Ecosystems Research Center of the University of Go ̈ttingen. This involved, in addition to the Solling site, the establishment of two other sites for long-term monitoring of ecosystem pro- ̈ cesses. The two contrasting sites were established in 1980 at Gottinger Wald on base-rich calcareous soil and in 1989 at Zierenberg on volcanic soil. These projects were funded initially by the Federal Ministry of Research and Technology (BMBF) as interdisciplinary projects under the titles: ‘‘Conditions of Stability of Forest Ecosystems’’ (1989–1993), and ‘‘Dynamics of Forest Ecos- tems’’ (1993–1998). The primary goal of these studies was to quantify the ecolo- cal condition of forests in a changing environment and element ?uxes.
