Richard B. Parkinson diskutiert die Umstände der Auffindung der Papyri durch Giovanni d'Athanasi in den 1830er Jahren in Luxor sowie den Erwerb durch das Berliner Ägyptische Museum. Die physische Form jedes einzelnen Papyrus wird im Detail beschrieben, wobei materielle Besonderheiten, wie etwa Klebungen und Montage, erläutert werden. Auf einer DVD werden 73 digitale Farbphotos der Papyri von Lisa Baylis zur Verfügung gestellt. Diese hoch auflösenden Bilder erlauben eine genaue Ansicht der einzelnen Zeichen und der Palimpsest-Spuren, ebenso ermöglichen sie eine tiefere Beschäftigung mit diesen antiken Handschriften.
