Studienarbeit aus dem Jahr 2004 im Fachbereich Theologie - Systematische Theologie, Note: 1,3, Technische Universität Dortmund (Evangelische Theologie), Sprache: Deutsch, Abstract: Die Frage, was mit dem Menschen nach seinem Tod geschieht, ist so alt wie die Menschheit selbst. Und trotzdem gibt es dafür bisher keine sichere Antwort, obgleich die meisten an eine Art ewiges Überleben der menschlichen Seele zu glauben scheinen. Zu diesem Thema gibt es eine schier endlose Fülle an Auffassungen. Diese Arbeit wird sich jedoch ausschließlich mit dem theologischen Aspekt dieser Frage beschäftigen, so wie es vom Autor des zu behandelnden Texts, Joachim Ringleben, vorgegeben ist. In seinem Text "Gott und das Ewige Leben" kämpft er sich sprichwörtlich nicht nur durch die Zeilen der Bibel, insbesondere die des Neuen Testaments, sondern auch durch die Literatur großer Philosophen und Theologen wie Boethius, Barth und Luther, um zu einem eigenen Ergebnis zu kommen. Wer bei Ringleben einen gespannten Bogen zwischen religiösem Glauben und wissenschaftlicher Erkenntnis erwartet, den muss ich enttäuschen, da die absolute Voraussetzung zum Verständnis und zur Akzeptanz des Textes ganz klar zum Vorschein kommen. Für Ringleben hängt unser ewiges Leben einzig und allein von Gott ab. Sein Ansatz ist also ein Theozentrischer, seine Argumentation damit ganz von Gott hergeleitet. Dass damit der biblische Gott gemeint ist, verdeutlicht er, indem er im weiteren Verlauf seines Texts christologische Argumente anwendet. Um sich mit den Aussagen seines Texts vollkommen identifizieren zu können, ist also die persönliche Erkenntnis von Nöten, Gott als den Schöpfer, der lebendig alles in allem verkörpert, zu sehen und Jesus Christus als unseren Erretter, der den "neuen Bund" zwischen Gott und Menschheit repräsentiert, mit seinem Tod für die Vergebung unserer Sünden steht und uns somit als wahrer Gott und wahrer Mensch das ewige Leben schenkt und die Auferstehung der Toten zum ewigen Leben ankündigt.

This book investigates the relationship between nineteenth-century German theological Wissenschaft and the emergence of confessional Lutheranism. It argues that the first generation of confessional Lutherans contributed to the discourse over the nature of theological Wissenschaft.
