Versammlung des Synodalen Weges in Frankfurt, der bundesweiten Aktion #OutInChurch, einem offenen Brief von elf Generalvikaren an den Vorsitzenden der Deutschen Bischofskonferenz, in dem sie sich für die vollständige Rechtssicherheit kirchlicher Mitarbeiter:innen unabhängig von ihrer sexuellen Orientierung und ihrem privaten Beziehungsstatus einsetzen, und während der dramatischen Kriegssituation in der Ukraine. Was erleben wir da gerade: Transformation "by design or by disaster" (Harald Welzer)? Die Welt – auch die kirchliche Welt – steht Kopf. Muster werden aufgebrochen, Utopien werden entlarvt. Diese wenigen Aspekte zeigen schon, dass Transformation keine Standardaufgabe ist und sich ihr niemand entziehen kann. In diese Zusammenhänge hinein erscheint die Lebendige Seelsorge mit dem Themenschwerpunkt Transformation: Lisanne Teuchert fragt, ob Transformation das Projekt Gottes mit der Welt ist, Michael Schüßler analysiert Dynamiken pastoraler Musterunterbrechungen und Doris Reisinger geht auf spezifische Dynamiken zwischen spirituellen und institutionellen Wandlungsprozessen ein. Ulrike Rose beschreibt, welche wechselseitigen Chancen sich für Ordensgemeinschaften und einen Sozialraum im Zusammenhang mit der Umnutzung von Klostergebäuden ergeben können. Im Interview kommt mit Isabell Huschka eine Expertin zu Wort, die Profit- und Non-Profit-Unternehmen durch Transformationsprozesse navigiert. Im Praxisteil lenkt Tobias Faix den Blick auf die Fragestellung, was Transformation mit Glaubenspraxis zu tun hat, und Albert Gerhards veranschaulicht, dass der christliche Sakralbau bis in die Gegenwart ein Ort von Transformation war/ist. Nachhaltigkeit ist der Fokus von Gerhard Kruip. Er zeigt auf, dass diese eine radikale Transformation in allen Bereichen verlangt. Dass gesellschaftliche Transformationen für Jugendliche zu einer besonderen Herausforderung werden können, arbeitet Bettina Brandstetter aus und um 'Wandlung' geht es im Beitrag von Alexander Zerfaß. Simon Rüffin beleuchtet den Zusammenhang von Transformation und katholischer Diaspora. Bernd Mönkebüscher reflektiert Reaktionen auf die Aktion #OutInChurch und macht deutlich, dass es mehr als einen offenen Brief von elf Generalvikaren braucht, um eine ehrliche Kirche zu werden. Das Heft spannt wie gewohnt einen weiten thematischen Bogen und regt hoffentlich zum Nachdenken an.

Die katholische Kirche versteht sich als Weltkirche und lebt auch als Weltkirche. Schaut man näher hin, herrscht große Unkenntnis und wenig Kontakt zwischen West und Mittelost. Hier setzt dieses Themenheft der Lebendigen Seelsorge an. Es will sehr schlicht farbige Einblicke in das kirchliche Leben der sogenannten post-kommunistischen Länder geben. Ich freue mich, dass Sie mit diesem Heft sehr viele der Länder in Ostmitteleuropa zumindest streifen können: Ungarn, Polen, das Baltikum, aber auch Serbien, Albanien, den Balkan, Kosovo und andere mehr. Wie sieht hier pastoraler Alltag aus? Wie stark wirken postkommunistische Transformationsprozesse auf die Gesellschaften und Kirchen ein? Wo liegen auch Unterschiede der Ortskirchen untereinander? Welche Partner- und Förderbeziehungen bestehen innereuropäisch? Und wie sieht der Blick aus, wenn man von hier nach Westeuropa schaut? Ich wünsche Ihnen und uns, dass aus mehr Kenntnis voneinander auch ein Abbau der Fremdheit erwächst.

In religious education, digitization and mediatization processes result in the transformation of conventional media formats. This leads to the development of new media formats, which in turn necessitates a redefinition of the relationship between religious education and the media. Keeping this in mind, this volume first examines the importance of media for specific theological disciplines, and then discusses current media-pedagogical and media-didactic approaches. Later in the book, the authors develop didactic perspectives on various methods; these include internet-based archive work and the use of digital teaching materials.
