El objetivo de este trabajo de investigación es analizar la dotación de capital humano de Castilla-La Mancha, así como su contribución al crecimiento económico regional. Para ello se ha elaborado, en la primera parte del trabajo, un marco teórico de referencia de las teorías explicativas de la inversión en capital humano, y de cómo los principales modelos de crecimiento económico han incorporado el capital humano en sus análisis teóricos y empíricos. La segunda parte comienza realizando un análisis detallado del capital humano de Castilla-La Mancha y de sus provincias, que ha precisado la elaboración de una base de datos sobre la dotación de capital humano de Castilla-La Mancha y de las restantes CC. AA. españolas, por géneros, grupos de edad y sectores productivos. A continuación, se analiza la influencia que el capital humano, a través de sus distintas vías de actuación, tiene sobre el crecimiento económico del sector privado y de cada uno de sus sectores productivos -agricultura, industria, construcción y servicios destinados a la venta- de Castilla-La Mancha y de sus provincias. Finalmente se presentan una serie de conclusiones que, en definitiva, tratan de orientar las medidas de política económica que afectan a nuestra región y que, en concreto, se refieren a la necesidad de aumentar el capital humano y su aprovechamiento productivo, factores que permitirán aumentar nuestro crecimiento económico y, en última instancia, mejorar el nivel de bienestar de nuestra sociedad.

Mexico, al igual que el resto del mundo, esta inmerso en un proceso de constantes cambios en diferentes ambitos. Estos cambios se van dando a una velocidad cada vez mas acelerada y a las organizaciones no les resulta facil adaptarse a ellos. Sin embargo, tanto las entidades privadas como las gubernamentales se ven obligadas a aceptar esta realidad y a enfrentarla con planes y programas de formacion cada mas adecuados y eficaces. La acumulacion de capital humano surge de manera recurrente como una caracteristica esencial del crecimiento y del desarrollo economico; en los estudios recientes sobre los determinantes del crecimiento economico y de la productividad de la economia, se reconocio que las inversiones en recursos humanos complementan de modo sustancial los aportes de la inversion en capital fijo. Aunque parte de la explicacion posiblemente se encuentre en las deficiencias de los sistemas de educacion, este libro busca destacar la dificultad generada por el hecho de que algunas actividades complementarias a la acumulacion de capital humano no se desarrollaron suficientemente. El objetivo general de este estudio es calcular, para el caso mexicano, la contribucion de la acumulacion del capital humano al crecimiento economico, a traves de la consideracion de sus efectos internos y externos; es decir, incorporando el concepto de complementariedades factoriales en el analisis e interpretacion del crecimiento. Two countervailing trends mark the intellectual tenor of our age – the spread of naturalistic worldviews and religious orthodoxies. Advances in biogenetics, brain research, and robotics are clearing the way for the penetration of an objective scientific self-understanding of persons into everyday life. For philosophy, this trend is associated with the challenge of scientific naturalism. At the same time, we are witnessing an unexpected revitalization of religious traditions and the politicization of religious communities across the world. From a philosophical perspective, this revival of religious energies poses the challenge of a fundamentalist critique of the principles underlying the modern Wests postmetaphysical understanding of itself. The tension between naturalism and religion is the central theme of this major new book by Jürgen Habermas. On the one hand he argues for an appropriate naturalistic understanding of cultural evolution that does justice to the normative character of the human mind. El Sistema Universitario Español genera importantes contribuciones económicas y sociales para la solución de los retos de la economía de España: el aumento de la educación, la ocupación, el crecimiento y la competitividad de la economía en el marco de una sociedad del conocimiento globalizada. El estudio cuantifica dos tipos de contribuciones de las universidades: las de corto y las de largo plazo. En el corto plazo, el gasto que realizan tanto ellas como sus agentes asociados repercuten sobre el resto de sectores de actividad. El estudio cuantifica los impactos económicos a corto plazo sobre la producción, la renta y el empleo a nivel agregado y desagregado sectorialmente. Asimismo, en el largo plazo, las actividades de formación, investigación y transferencia de conocimientos de las universidades españolas aumentan el capital humano y el capital tecnológico. El estudio cuantifica, entre otras, la contribución de las universidades a la reducción de la tasas de paro y al aumento de la tasas de actividad, de los ingresos públicos, de la renta per cápita y el crecimiento económico de España. Los resultados globales indican que el Sistema Universitario Español, a pesar de presentar algunas deficiencias en su funcionamiento y de que desarrolla sus actividades en un entorno socioeconómico menos favorable que el de los países europeos más avanzados, realiza importantes contribuciones socioeconómicas, por lo que el gasto público en estas instituciones constituye una inversión rentable de la sociedad española.
