En esta extraña obra se desarrolla el viaje espiritual de un joven, cuya particularidad es la invisibilidad, quien es adoptado por el barón Von Jocher. Este vínculo expande para el joven una realidad poblada de misterios, de enigmas, en las fronteras del sueño.

The White Dominican is Meyrink's most esoteric novel, and draws on the wisdom of a number of mystical traditions, the most important of which is Tao.
