O livro República, Republicanismo e Republicanos no Brasil, em Portugal e em Itália, coordenado cientificamente por três historiadores, intencionalmente um em cada país focado, começou a ser preparado em 2005, a cinco anos do centenário da República em Portugal, efeméride que não inspirou minimamente o projeto, embora um acentuado atraso na concretização da ideia tenha lançado a edição para 2011. Foram outras as razões desta iniciativa. A circunstância estimulante foi o primeiro colóquio Portugal, Brasil e Itália, consagrado a temas e a problemas da História Política e das Ideologias no séc. XX, realizado em Novembro de 2005, na Universidade de Bolonha, que é uma das três envolvidas. As outras duas são a Universidade de Coimbra e a Universidade de São Paulo. Ligadas a estas instituições há unidades e projetos de pesquisa, como o Centro de Estudos Interdisciplinares do Século XX — CEIS 20 (Coimbra, Portugal), o PROIN — Projeto Integrado Arquivo do Estado/ Universidade de São Paulo e o Dipartimento di Discipline Storiche della Università degli Studi di Bologna. Pode, pois, dizer-se que o projeto de coordenar um livro sobre a Doutrina e Ideário republicanos (Parte I), as Poder e Práticas Republicanas (Parte II) e os Protagonistas: trajetórias e projetos (Parte III), brotou da dinâmica de investigação, desenvolvida por alguns investigadores, que nos respetivos países e no âmbito das referidas Universidades e Centros de Estudos, vêm explorando esses tópicos, disponibilizando para publicação os seus estudos parcelares ou mais conclusivos. This book, edited by three historians, each focusing on a different country, began to be prepared in 2005, five years before the centenary of the Republic in Portugal, and not in any way inspired by that event in any way. However, a marked delay in putting the idea into practice meant that the edition was only launched in 2011. There were other reasons behind this. The idea was stimulated by the first Portugal, Brazil and Italy conference on themes and problems of political history and 20th century ideologies, which took place in November 2005 at the University of Bologna, one of the three universities involved (the other two are the University of Coimbra and the University of São Paulo). Connected to these institutions are research units and projects such as the Centre for 20th century Interdisciplinary Studies (CEIS 20, Coimbra, Portugal), the PROIN — Integrated State Archive Project/ University of São Paulo and the Dipartimento di Discipline Storiche della Università degli Studi di Bologna. Thus, the project for editing a book that would deal with Republican Doctrine and Ideology (Part I), Republican Power and Practices (Part II) and the Protagonists: Trajectories And Project (Part III) arose from a dynamic developed by researchers that have been exploring these topics in their respective countries within the ambit of these universities and study centres, and who were available to publish their partial or conclusive studies.

El nacimiento de la Revista Iberoamericana de Psicología del Ejercicio y el Deporte surge del compromiso de muchos profesionales interesados por la Psicología del ejercicio y el deporte, en el deseo expandir el conocimiento científico, la investigación y la práctica en este ámbito, donde se unen la psicología y la actividad física y el deporte. Este proyecto aparece propiciado por el interés de muchos colectivos de diferentes países de nuestro entorno cultural, social, lingüístico y que están fuertemente implicados con esta disciplina, como es la Federación Española de Psicología del Deporte (FEPD), la Sociedade Portuguesa de psicología do Desporto (SPPD), la Asociación de Psicología del Deporte de Argentina (APDA), la Sociedad Uruguaya de Psicología del Deporte (SUPDE), Sociedade Brasileira de Psicología do Esporte (SOBRAPE), Sociedad Boliviana de Psicología de la Actividad Física y el Deporte (SOBOPAD), entre otros. Por tanto, este proyecto intenta aglutinar y hacer partícipe a todos aquellos profesionales, ya no sólo de la psicología sino también de cualquier otra disciplina afín, que estén interesados por la investigación en la psicología del ejercicio y el deporte. En nuestras páginas tendrán cabida los estudios empíricos y los artículos más aplicados a la praxis deportiva y del ejercicio físico. Igualmente, se pretende incluir las recensiones de los últimos libros que vayan apareciendo en nuestra disciplina y que supongan un avance para la misma. La Revista Iberoamericana de Psicología del Ejercicio y el Deporte, tendrá una periodicidad semestral.
