La investigacion se relaciona con el estudio de la cultura en dos Instituciones de Educacion Superior publicas mexicanas. El estudio se hace en un periodo de transicion, principios de este siglo, en el cual las dimensiones prolepticas (planes y programas) constituyen el medio privilegiado por medio de la cual se trata de institucionalizar un conjunto de narrativas en los principales actores de la gestion estrategica. Se trata de generar un conjunto de nuevas representaciones del desarrollo academico en los actores que estan involucrados tanto en la toma de decisiones como en las acciones emprendidas. Se considera que las narrativas se racionalizan por medio de la creacion de mitos (mitopoiesis) asociados a un conjunto de creencias y valores de la gestion, que en caso de ser apropiados por los actores formaran parte de la cultura organizacional. Los hallazgos de la investigacion llegan el descubrimiento de cinco ambitos mitopoieticos sobre los cuales se desarrollan las principales acciones y actuar intersubjetivo de los actores: el mito racionalizante y la modernizacion, el mito racionalizante en la planeacion estrategica, el mito racionalizante en la estructura organizacional"
