Por otra parte, el estudio del mundo estelar ha contribuido a una idea más cabal y más amplia de la realidad del Universo. Este libro describe los aspectos más fundamentales de las estrellas, de su comportamiento y su evolución. Pero está llamado también, como todos los que se dirigen a aficionados a la Astronomía, a despertar el ansia de observar los cielos que cualquier persona sensible a los misterios del Universo debe sentir. Ésta es al menos la finalidad que aquí se persigue.
