Tres son los aportes principales de este nuevo libro sobre los nacionalismos de derecha que surgen en Argentina como reacción crítica a la experiencia de democratización política inaugurada en 1916. En primer lugar, ubica el desarrollo de estas corrientes de pensamiento contra el telón de fondo del vasto movimiento de ideas nacionalistas, culturales e identitarias, que se expande en las décadas precedentes en el seno de las elites liberales del país. En segundo lugar, explora las diversas matrices intelectuales, europeas y argentinas, que sirven de marco de referencia a los nacionalismos de derecha e influyen tanto en los modelos políticos que proponen como en las posiciones que adoptan respecto de cuestiones salientes de la agenda de la época: de la sociedad de masas a las vanguardias estéticas, del desenvolvimiento industrial a las formas de acción pública. Finalmente, este libro indaga acerca de las limitaciones que condicionaron la suerte política de los distintos grupos nacionalistas.
