In electronic support measures systems, receivers are designed to intercept radar signals and perform emitter classification & identification for electronic warfare purposes. In practice, since there is usually more than one emitter transmitting pulsed signals in the same signal environment, the intercepted signals are pulse trains interleaved in time. For a receiver to characterize the emitters, deinterleaving techniques must be applied to separate the interleaved pulse trains into individual emitter groups. This report proposes an approach for detecting the number of emitters in the pulse train deinterleaving process, based on use of the fine intrapulse modulation information of the intercepted pulse trains. The approach is statistically consistent & computationally efficient and does not require any subjective threshold setting. Computer simulations and real sensor data are used to demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed approach.

Fractal Analysis written by Fernando Brambila and has been published by BoD – Books on Demand this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2017-06-14 with Mathematics categories.

Fractal analysis has entered a new era. The applications to different areas of knowledge have been surprising. Let us begin with the fractional calculus-fractal geometry relationship, which allows for modeling with extreme precision of phenomena such as diffusion in porous media with fractional partial differential equations in fractal objects. Where the order of the equation is the same as the fractal dimension, this allows us to make calculations with enormous precision in diffusion phenomena-particularly in the oil industry, for new spillage prevention. Main applications to industry, design of fractal antennas to receive all frequencies and that is used in all cell phones, spacecraft, radars, image processing, measure, porosity, turbulence, scattering theory. Benoit Mandelbrot, creator of fractal geometry, would have been surprised by the use of fractal analysis presented in this book: "Part I: Petroleum Industry and Numerical Analysis"; "Part II: Fractal Antennas, Spacecraft, Radars, Image Processing, and Measure"; and "Part III: Scattering Theory, Porosity, and Turbulence." It's impossible to picture today's research without fractal analysis.

Waveform Design And Diversity For Advanced Radar Systems written by Fulvio Gini and has been published by IET this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2012-05-18 with Technology & Engineering categories.

This is the first book to discuss current and future applications of waveform diversity and design in subjects such as radar and sonar, communications systems, passive sensing, and many other technologies. Waveform diversity allows researchers and system designers to optimize electromagnetic and acoustic systems for sensing, communications, electronic warfare or combinations thereof. It enables solutions to problems with how each system performs its own particular function as well as how it is affected by other systems and how those other systems may likewise be affected. It is an excellent standalone introduction to waveform diversity and design, which takes a high potential technology area and makes it visible to other researchers, as well as young engineers.

Desentrelacement written by Jean-François Grandin and has been published by BoD - Books on Demand this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2023-08-15 with Science categories.

L'auteur donne annuellement 3 cours à EUROSAE depuis 1991.

This authoritative resource presents a comprehensive illustration of modern Artificial Intelligence / Machine Learning (AI/ML) technology for radio frequency (RF) data exploitation. It identifies technical challenges, benefits, and directions of deep learning (DL) based object classification using radar data, including synthetic aperture radar (SAR) and high range resolution (HRR) radar. The performance of AI/ML algorithms is provided from an overview of machine learning (ML) theory that includes history, background primer, and examples. Radar data issues of collection, application, and examples for SAR/HRR data and communication signals analysis are discussed. In addition, this book presents practical considerations of deploying such techniques, including performance evaluation, energy-efficient computing, and the future unresolved issues.
