De maneira geral, o livro está estruturado em três partes principais, contempladas ao longo de doze capítulos. Os Capítulos 01 a 10 trazem a análise de cada uma das dez áreas da Engenharia de Produção no contexto da pandemia da Covid-19, discutindo os desafios impostos e convidando o leitor a refletir em relação ao que podemos esperar do futuro pós-pandemia. Na segunda parte, trata das atividades desenvolvidas para garantir a manutenção das práticas educativas durante o isolamento social. Especificamente, no Capítulo 11, os autores compartilham o uso criativo e divertido das redes sociais para adentrar o universo dos estudantes e, com isso, difundir conteúdos digitais que permitam tanto o aprimoramento de conhecimentos em áreas diversas como entretenimento aos alunos. Finalmente, a terceira parte compreende os relatos de diferentes professores sobre os aprendizados e as experiências vividas, bem como as metodologias e práticas de ensino adotadas durante o período de pandemia. É responsabilidade do Capítulo 12, escrito em primeira pessoa, trazer essa ênfase na experiência particular de cada professor. Embora inseridos no mesmo contexto, são desafiados pelas demandas específicas de suas disciplinas, pela falta de experiência ou o pouco conhecimento sobre ferramentas de apoio ao ensino remoto e pela própria insegurança e desconforto causados pelo novo e desconhecido. The theory of concurrent engineering is based on the concept that the different phases of a product lifecycle should be conducted concurrently and initiated as early as possible within the product creation process. Concurrent engineering is important in many industries, including automotive, aerospace, shipbuilding, consumer goods and environmental engineering, as well as in the development of new services and service support.
