O presente volume interdisciplinar reúne 13 contribuições de autores brasileiros e europeus das áreas da filologia, estudos culturais e comunicação que versam sobre os paradigmas da comunicação e da intersubjetividade na obra narrativa de João Guimarães Rosa. Aproximando-se dos meandros literários de Rosa, responsáveis pela íntima concepção internacionalizante de Brasil na sua obra, o volume enfoca dinâmicas que perpassam extensões linguísticas, ontológicas e culturais da literatura rosiana. Na radicalidade da criação literária de Rosa refletem-se a transgressão linguística e o diálogo entre poética negativa e antropologia. Um fenômeno central que nos preocupa é sua exploração dos entre-espaços, dos limiares - que achamos por bem sintetizar na noção do entremeio. Desse modo, Rosa engendra uma dialética da comunicabilidade do incomunicável, buscando assim criar uma forma de acesso ao inacessível através de seu imaginário linguístico e compreensão da comunicação numa acepção ritualística. Tenciona-se destacar a importância da obra de Rosa como precursora das rupturas epistemológicas no logos ocidental pós-moderno, antecipando formas de pensar a subjetividade e a alteridade que só se sistematizariam mais tarde na filosofia, nos estudos pós-coloniais, estudos de gênero e fenomenologia do estranho.
