Studienarbeit aus dem Jahr 2003 im Fachbereich BWL - Unternehmensführung, Management, Organisation, Note: 2,0, Leuphana Universität Lüneburg (Wirtschaft), Sprache: Deutsch, Abstract: Diese Hausarbeit befasst sich mit der Frage „Warum ist das LEAN MANAGEMENT in seiner reinen Form nicht ohne weiteres auf den Westen (USA und Westeuropa) übertragbar?“ Beginnen möchte ich mit den Produktionskonzepten vor dem LEAN MANAGEMENT, hierbei widme ich mich kurz dem System von TAYLOR, beginnend mit der Entstehung, den vorherrschenden Problemen bis hin zur Lösung dieser durch ein neues Arbeitskonzept - den TAYLORISMUS. Darauf folgend werde ich die Weiterentwicklung dieses Systems, den FORDISMUS ebenfalls nur kurz "unter die Lupe nehmen". Anschließend werde ich das LEAN MANAGEMENT (LM) anhand der Organisation und der Grundstrategien ausführlich erläutern. Anfang der 90er Jahre schwappte die LM-WELLE aus Südost-Asien herüber und löste geradezu eine Euphorie in westlichen Unternehmen aus. Viele Unternehmen, die auch heute noch nach den traditionellen Management-Methoden arbeiten, haben versucht Teile des LM in ihre Unternehmen aufzunehmen. Im nächsten Abschnitt dieser Hausarbeit werde ich das traditionelle FORD-SYSTEM dem LM gegenüberstellen. Zum Schluss folgt ein Fazit und die Kritik am LEAN-MANAGEMENT-KONZEPT. Ich gehe der Frage der Übertragbarkeit des Systems auf den „Westen“ nach.
