Erotic Pop is a collection of poems, drawings, and paintings. The poems are inspired by pop songs that span the past sixty years. It started with "Shagging Boys in the Street." I was inspired by Greg Holden's beautiful song, "Boys in the Street," and I wanted to sensualize it, eroticize it, and bring a different social issue to the story. That was the flame to ignite the culmination of this collection. The poems are meant to be light-hearted and fun while turning you on and bringing awareness to various social issues in the gay community. You may recognize the original song a poem is based on and sing along with the new lyrics - I know I do!I decided to include some digital drawings and pictures of paintings that I thought related to a poem and to bring colour to my words. Please note: this is for a mature audience. Some drawings contain male nudity.

An informative pop–up book on the erotic arts featuring the world's ten best carnal positions brought vividly to life in full–color, three–dimensional paper tableaux. The perfect tongue–in–cheek gift for Valentine's, Weddings and Birthdays, THE POP–UP BOOK OF SEX is a clever and informative tour of the ten best ways to have sex, plus the reasons and tips behind them. The problem with most sex books is they're too long, or they list too many things a partner needs to do and learn. Now, readers will get that in just 10 quick pops, from the ever–reliable "Missionary" and the Kama Sutra's "Lotus" as well as contemporary favorites conceived for specific effects such as G–spot simulation and problem–solving advantages of each position (for example: big penis, small woman, or small penis, big woman). Adding to the fun are at least 2–3 alternate position–illustrations for each 'pop', special tips, and specifically selected backdrops (which span the world and a variety of sexual settings). The tour de force cover illustration depicts an intricate, fantastical world densely populated with interlinked, ecstatic, and, of course, tastefully rendered people in the throes of delight (with apologies to Heironymous Bosch): SAMPLE POP: The Mile–High Club Concept: Necessity is the mother of invention. Make the most of the moment. Some positions are location specific. Content: This spread is first and foremost about sex in exotic places and the great benefit of bringing variety and spontaneity into your sex life – in this case, the thrill of a semi–public encounters (as close to Heaven as possible). No one ever plans to screw a stewardess in an airplane bathroom, but it's a great thing to do. Secondly, this spread is about standing positions, covering the basic methods: man standing, woman on a flat surface; from behind with both standing from behind; standing with girl bent over; creative use of structural support, as in a dark alley. Background research that will inform our tips & text: • Siobahn Kelly, author of The Wild Guide to Sex and Loving • Dr. Susan Block, author of The Mile High Club • Good Vibrations Guide to Sex Characters: Airline stewardess in a sexy, short–skirted uniform, garters, fake pearls; handsome, square–jawed businessman in a suit. Setting: An airplane bathroom. The stewardess is sitting up on the tiny counter, her legs wrapped around a handsome man's hips. We see both characters, though we don't see all the way to the ground. (i.e., from his knees up, or so.) Pop: When the spread opens, we see a closed airplane door; to the right of the door, in a little pocket, is a small pamphlet (which readers can take out), with sex tips illustrated in the style of airplane emergency cards (see "Extras," below). The reader opens the door–pulling it to the left. As the door opens the red/green "occupied/vacant" sign clicks over to the other position. (In the bathroom, we now see the stewardess perched on the sink/console, her legs wrapped a

Radical Eroticism written by Rachel Middleman and has been published by Univ of California Press this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2018-01-16 with Art categories.

In the 1960s, the fascination with erotic art generated a wave of exhibitions and critical discussion on sexual freedom, visual pleasure, and the nude in contemporary art. Radical Eroticism examines the importance of women’s contributions in fundamentally reconfiguring representations of sexuality across several areas of advanced art—performance, pop, postminimalism, and beyond. This study shows that erotic art made by women was integral to the profound changes that took place in American art during the sixties, from the crumbling of modernist aesthetics and the expanding field of art practice to the emergence of the feminist art movement. Artists Carolee Schneemann, Martha Edelheit, Marjorie Strider, Hannah Wilke, and Anita Steckel created works that exemplify these innovative approaches to the erotic, exploring female sexual subjectivities and destabilizing assumptions about gender. Rachel Middleman reveals these artists’ radical interventions in both aesthetic conventions and social norms.

Sexidemic written by Lawrence R. Samuel and has been published by Rowman & Littlefield this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2013 with History categories.

Sexidemic is the first real cultural history of sexuality in the United States since the end of World War II. For a people who supposedly love sex, the author argues, Americans have had no shortage of problems with it. Since the end of World War II, in fact, we've had a contentious relationship with sexuality, the subject a source of considerable tension and controversy on both an individual and societal level. Rather than being a simple pleasure of life, something to be enjoyed, sex has served as a challenging and disruptive force in many Americans' everyday lives for the last two-thirds of a century. Our love affair with sex has thus been a rocky one, filled with bumps in the road that have caused major instability across our cultural landscape. Our individualistic, competitive, consumerist, and anxious national character is both reflected in and reinforced by this "sexidemic," something few have recognized or perhaps want to admit. By charting the cultural trajectory of sex in America since the end of World War II, Sexidemic reveals how the nation's continual woes with sexuality helped make us an anxious, insecure people. The sex lives of many, perhaps most Americans have been in a perpetual state of crisis, a constant source of concern. We've fretted over every dimension of it, with problems in both quality and quantity. With this unhealthy view of sexuality, it was not surprising that we felt we needed a variety of potions and gadgets to make it happen or be pleasurable. In tracing the cultural trajectory of sex in our society, Samuel illustrates our bipolar approach to sexuality: low libido and sex addiction emerged as common disorders, and sex scandal after sex scandal has made headlines, especially over the last couple of years. Only money has surpassed sex as a source of stress for Americans; indeed, sex has come to be seen and treated as a commodity. In this timely work, the author traces the role sex plays in our society, how it shapes us and the world around us, and how we got where we are today in our views, treatment, and practice of sex and sexuality in our everyday lives.

Settling The Pop Score written by Stan Hawkins and has been published by Routledge this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2017-07-05 with Music categories.

The analysis of popular music forces us to rethink the assumptions that underpin our approaches to the study of Western music. Not least, it brings to the fore an idea that many musicologists still find uncomfortable - that commercial production and consumption can be aligned with artistic authenticity. Reading pop texts takes place through dialogue on many levels, which, as Stan Hawkins argues, deals with how musical events are shaped by personal alliances between the artist and the recipient. The need for a critical approach to evaluating popular music lies at the heart of this book. Hawkins explores the relationships that exist between music, spectatorship and aesthetics through a series of case studies of pop artists from the 1980s and 1990s. Madonna, Morrissey, Annie Lennox, the Pet Shop Boys and Prince represent the diversity of cultures, identities and sexualities that characterised the start of the MTV boom. Through the interpretation of aspects of the compositional design and musical structures of songs by these pop artists, Hawkins suggests ways in which stylistic and technical elements of the music relate to identity formation and its political motivations. Settling the Pop Score examines the role of irony and empathy, the question of gender, race and sexuality, and the relevance of textual analysis to the study of popular music. Interpreting pop music within the framework of musicology, Hawkins helps us to understand the pleasure so many people derive from these songs.
