Im Märchen gibt es immer die eine Prinzessin, sehr schön und sehr blöd. Die sündige Eva aus der Bibel und die böse Stiefmutter oder Hexe lassen wir mal hübsch beiseite, denn die sollen nur als Beispiele dafür dienen, was passiert, wenn Frauen nach Macht streben: Sie werden aus dem Paradies geworfen oder verbrannt. Mit dieser Prägung entlässt man Frauen ins Leben und wundert sich dann über die ständige Konkurrenz unter Frauen um diese begrenzten Plätze. Dann wird so getan, als wären Frauen von Natur aus eben stutenbissig und selbst schuld an dieser Rivalität. Carolin Kebekus kommt diesem bösen Spuk auf die Spur, sie untersucht alte und neue Geschichten, um zu zeigen, warum uns Frauen eingetrichtert wird, dass wir um den einen Platz – im Fernsehen, in der Firma, im Karneval usw. – konkurrieren müssten.
