O presente livro, intitulado como Desafios da Educação na Contemporaneidade 2, nos traz uma delicada tessitura sobre o tema. Os artigos que nele constam nos apontam, atualmente e é óbvio que poderiam ser enumerados outros, quais são os desafios propostos para os dias atuais em relação a educação. Dentre os dezessete (17) artigos apresentados, três (3) estão envoltos na temática sobre as tecnologias e o processo de ensino, os quais nos despertam a necessidade de que as mesmas, se façam presentes na construção do conhecimento, por parte do aluno utilizando essas tecnologias. Em relação ao tema Inclusão Escolar, quatro (4) artigos exploram a temática que ainda, se apresenta como algo que necessita de muito estudo e aprofundamento, justamente para que se possa compreender essa modalidade de ensino suas nuances, e possibilidades e todas as políticas educacionais que a alicerça. Ainda temos discussões sobre as práticas pedagógicas, em relação a modelagem matemática no espaço da Educação de Jovens e Adultos (EJA), o qual traz à tona as especificidades dessa modalidade de ensino e ao mesmo tempo apresenta entraves relacionados com a disciplina de matemática no processo de ensino aprendizagem. Outro artigo muito interessante, também, da área matemática discute a usualidade da desta, estabelecendo nexos com questões relacionadas a utilização dos elementos culturais, fazendo com que haja a interdisciplinaridade neste contexto. Em relação ao processo de avaliação, que não poderia deixar de se fazer presente como um desafio da contemporaneidade, temos um (1) artigo, pois embora tenhamos muitas publicações na área, cada produção se apresenta de forma singular, e busca eleger questões que respondam aos problemas propostos que sempre versam sobre a avaliação do processo de ensino aprendizagem em um determinado local. Sobre o ensino e aprendizagem dois (2) artigos destacam a necessidade e urgência de se pensar sobre o tema. A proposta do artigo sobre a Pedagogia de Projetos nos aponta alguns caminhos de pensar sobre a utilização desta no processo de ensino aprendizagem, e o outro artigo, sobre a temática, faz uma reflexão sobre esse momento atual e o processo de ensino aprendizagem. E em relação a reflexão sobre o docente 1 (um) artigo faz menção a essa necessidade de se construir uma prática reflexiva na construção da identidade do professor. Bem como, 1 (um) artigo que nos traz discussões sobre o livro didático seus limites e retrocessos em relação aos saberes amazônicos. A educação patrimonial é tema de 1 (um) artigo, onde pretendeu-se afirmar a importância da preservação do patrimônio cultural na história e por fim, temos uma reflexão (1 artigo) sobre as contribuições de Paulo Freire e Walter Benjamin para a análise do currículo utilizando, a perspectiva de Análise Crítica do Discurso para interpretação do contexto social.
