La question radicale de l'éventuelle non-existence de Dieu appartient à la responsabilité du théologien. S'il l'esquivait, tout en présentant Dieu comme une bonne nouvelle pour l'homme, ne serait-il pas un f aux monnayeur ? Présenter à la pensée un Dieu qui serait faux à la manière d'un faux billet de banque, ce n'est pas simplement parler d'un Dieu qui n'existe pas, mais manifester un Dieu trompeur parce que sans consistance, une idole. La question de l'existence est ici une question proprement théologique puisqu'elle est un aspect de la question de l'idolâtrie. Or, la foi en Dieu est radicalement une lutte : contre l'idolâtrie et une victoire sur celle-ci. Cette interrogation théologique doit être menée avec rigueur, pour l'honneur de la théologie elle-même ; en la confrontant à une pluralité de discours. La théologie s'élabore ici en dialogue avec la philosophie, compagne depuis toujours (Françoise Mies), avec des sciences qualifiées d'humaines comme la psychanalyse et la sociologie (Marie Balmary et Luc Van Campenhoudt), l'éthique (Paul Valadier), et d'autres grandes traditions de sagesse (Jacques Scheuer à propos du bouddhisme).

Un Dieu Vivant Par nous En nous Et pour Lui. Tout comme nous vivons Par Lui En Lui Et pour nous. Serions-nous enfin réellement maîtres de notre destinée ? Notre inaptitude au bonheur ne proviendrait elle alors que d'un manque d'ouverture d'esprit nuisant aussi bien a Lui qu'a nous ? 90% des individus de cette planète croient en Dieu. Ils y croient de millions de différentes manières. Ils s'entre tuent au nom de ce soi-disant Dieu de bonté. Pratiquement personne ne voit ce Dieu de la même façon. Tout le monde attend de Lui « le Miracle » et bien peu voient ce miracle s'accomplir. La plupart prient de manière automatique sans réellement, profondément, propulser de message personnel. La Chrétienté m'a-t-il été dit n'est pas une religion, c'est une philosophie, une sorte de guide du savoir-vivre. Là, nous nous éloignons sensiblement de la croyance en Dieu. Le monde deviendrait il athée à force de ne pas voir ses miracles s'accomplir ? Pire encore, en viendrait-il à haïr ce Dieu qui laisse tant d'atrocités s'accomplir? Et pourtant, Si Dieu existait vraiment ? S'il n'en avait rien à faire de nos hypocrites façons de l'adorer. En résumé, s'il nous avait laissé le soin, et les moyens, de réaliser nous même les miracles que nous attendons, à condition bien entendu que nous découvrions le mode d'emploi de cette fabuleuse puissance qu'Il nous a léguée, et dont, sans nous, Il ne sait lui-même que faire. Si nous étions en fait, chacun d'entre nous, l'expression différenciée de la conscience universelle ; Sa conscience ? La science, de la biologie à l'astrophysique, mise en parallèle avec les textes sacrés, semble bien nous guider vers ce type d'interprétation, nous ramenant vers le célèbre : Lève-toi et marche !
