These studies, "Grace, From Eternity to Eternity," are an earnest attempt to find and set forth the unity of God's purposes and plans in the Scriptures, the whole of which is rooted in Eternity and determined before the world was. Our findings compelled the conclusion that God is not as we. He does not stumble and fumble, seeking by trial-and-error method to determine His will. Being Eternal, He knows all, and Eternity is His everlasting NOW. In time, He manifests that which He determined to do in Eternity. We find no shades or gradations of improvement in His work. Every step taken in time, whether in the revelation of divine truth, or in the working out of His divine plans, is a perfect step. There could be no slip-ups for Him. He fore-saw all eventualities; predetermined His deed for every turn of events; and made provisions for man's needs before the world was. These studies disclose the blood to be central, basic, and cardinal in all of the Lord's labors. They have meant much to our own unworthy heart, and we pray that they may be helpful to other hearts.

Through a use of Friedrich Nietzsche's thought of the Eternal Recurrence of All Things once made compatible with Christian orthodoxy's notion of time and eternity, when combined with the latest in modern physics, the author posits here a new theory of Time that can account for human freedom in the midst of a deterministic world, while at the same time explaining the Uncertainty Principle and how Reality became what it is. With Time given ontological priority, all of our suspicions about lack of objectivity in scientific method are revealed as justified, while the hitherto indecipherable nature of the cosmos, and the role a Deity might have in it, are explained. Assurance was a central issue for the eminent Scottish theologian-pastor Thomas Boston long before it emerged as a focal point of the theological debate in the Marrow Controversy. In The Marrow of Certainty, Chun Tse presents the first full-length study of Boston's theology of assurance in six dimensions: trinitarian, covenantal, Christological, soteriological, ecclesiastical, and sacramental. This work not only furnishes the first-ever intellectual biography of Boston in his Scottish context and controversies, but it also cross-studies the theology of the Marrow of Modern Divinity with Boston's notes. This research argues that Boston's doctrine of assurance centres on union and communion with Christ, the architectonic principle of his theology. The book challenges the common conception that Boston's theology merely follows Calvin, the Scots Confession, the Marrow, the Westminster Standards, and Scottish federalism. Boston, most strikingly, holds in tension assurance as intrinsic to faith—itself a gift from God's sovereignty in election—while insisting on self-examination as a human responsibility. This salient mark of his doctrine of assurance originates from his assertion that Christ died for the elect alone but all—elect or not—have the warrant to receive Christ. As such, assurance is, theologically, a divine gift and, pastorally, a human endeavour. Certainty is thus both extra nos and intra nos. Boston, this study reveals, has a potent and enduring power to speak on the perennial issue of assurance, rooted in the person of Christ, whom he considers as being the covenant itself.
