El Evangelio seg?n Lucas enfatiza la humanidad del Se?or, cuya misi?n era la de buscar y salvar lo que se hab?a perdido, 19.10. En cada p?gina nos encontramos de frente con Aquel que expresa el amor divino en "palabras de gracia" y "cosas gloriosas", 4.22, 13.17. Su coraz?n apasionado por el hombre ca?do se manifiesta tanto en hechos como en palabras. ¿Qu? mente iluminada por el Esp?ritu puede dejar de ver que hay un sentido profundo en par?bolas como las del hijo pr?digo y el buen samaritano? Buscar y salvar es la obra peculiar de Jes?s, y es de ?sta que leemos a lo largo del Evangelio seg?n Lucas. Como uno que acompa?aba mucho a Pablo, y de quien se dice en Colosenses 4.14 que era el "m?dico amado", Lucas ofrece detalles hermosos, especialmente al escribir de los milagros y gestos de compasi?n; por ejemplo en el relato del difunto de Na?n, 7.12. Hasta el final de la narraci?n, estamos considerando al Se?or Jes?s como uno que, por vida y lengua, habla en t?rminos que podemos entender y nos traen a Dios de cerca como si fuera. Este obrero poderoso se declara, y Lucas expone esta declaraci?n al escribir las cosas por orden desde su origen, como dice en el 1.3. Otros hab?an tratado de relatar "las cosas que entre nosotros han sido ciert?simas" y Lucas asumi? la tarea de ordenarlas acertadamente, ya que las conoc?a desde el comienzo. No est? dispuesto a dejarlas en forma de una tradici?n oral, sino que ve la necesidad de una exposici?n permanente e invariable de manera que Te?filo tuviera certeza al respecto. Nosotros tambi?n hacemos bien en trazar estas cosas acertadamente. Hasta donde sepamos, Lucas es el ?nico escritor gentil en la Biblia. Escribe en narraci?n a otro gentil, Te?filo, y nuestro inter?s se profundiza a medida que nos damos cuenta de que estas buenas nuevas son dirigidas a nosotros los gentiles, por cuanto Israel hizo caso omiso.
