O pesquisador fenomenólogo Rodolfo Petrelli se estrutura em vasta fundamentação teórico-referencial, a partir de sua biografia da arte acadêmica, com graduação em História da Filosofia (1963), Teologia (1967), Psicologia (1971), mestrado em Psicologia (1973) e doutorado em Psicologia (1989). Neste entalhe científico, a história da evolução analítica do Psicodiagnóstico Rorschach, de Hermann Rorschach, promove-se sob a análise quali-quantitativa, que advém de pesquisas de base junto à população dos índios brasileiros Uru-Eu-Wau-Wau, da Serra dos Pacaás Novos e da Serra dos Uopianes, do estado de Rondônia, nos idos de 1985. A trajetória científica do autor se expande desde o estudo da população indígena à vanguarda mundial de seu trabalho forense, na década de 80, por meio do Rorschach, apresentado como laudo psicológico ao judiciário brasileiro. O campo da prospecção forense, do Psicodiagnóstico Rorschach, foi implantado por Petrelli à ciência da Psicologia Psicodiagnóstica mundial, a partir de sua experiência no Centro de Pesquisa e Extensão Aldeia Juvenil da PUC-GO, fundada pelo autor em 1982, e se reverbera na Psicologia Jurídica a partir dos inúmeros trabalhos e supervisões acadêmicas do professor. Autores como Minkowski, na Fenomenologia em Psicopatologia, na noção de "Tempo Vivido", Erich Fromm, por meio da arquitetura frommiana, da reflexão filosófico-antropológica acerca da condição humana, e de McCully, que estrutura a análise das pranchas de Rorschach, por meio dos arquétipos junguianos, formam o campo teórico de base deste compêndio científico. A principal contribuição deste manuscrito está na complexidade quali-quantitativa da leitura da vastidão humana, realizada pela profundidade de união dos paradoxos, em que a beleza pode ser reconhecida, em face da capacidade de conectar-se à severidade quantitativa e à idiografia qualitativa do ser que se expressa em sua totalidade.
