A efectos exclusivos de la responsabilidad civil por da?os nucleares se tendr?n en cuenta las siguientes definiciones: a) «Accidente nuclear»: es todo hecho o sucesi?n de hechos del mismo origen que hayan causado da?os nucleares. b) «Instalaciones Nucleares» son: 1.? Los reactores nucleares, excepto los que forman parte de un medio de transporte. 2.? Las f?bricas de preparaci?n o de procesamiento de sustancias nucleares. 3.? Las f?bricas de separaci?n de is?topos de combustibles nucleares. 4.? Las f?bricas de reprocesamiento de combustibles nucleares irradiados. 5.? Las instalaciones de almacenamiento de sustancias nucleares con exclusi?n del almacenamiento incidental de estas sustancias con ocasi?n de su transporte. 6.? Las instalaciones destinadas al almacenamiento definitivo de sustancias nucleares. 7.? Los reactores, f?bricas e instalaciones enumerados anteriormente que est?n en proceso de desmantelamiento. c) «Material radiactivo»: significa todo aquel que contenga sustancias que emitan radiaciones ionizantes. d) «Combustibles nucleares»: son los materiales fisionables, comprendiendo el uranio bajo la forma de metal, de aleaci?n o de compuesto qu?mico (comprendido el uranio natural) y el plutonio bajo la forma de metal, de aleaci?n o de compuesto qu?mico. e) «Productos o desechos radiactivos»: son los materiales radiactivos producidos o convertidos en radiactivos por exposici?n a las radiaciones resultantes de operaciones de producci?n o de utilizaci?n de combustibles nucleares con exclusi?n de los combustibles nucleares y de los radiois?topos que, habiendo llegado al ?ltimo estadio de fabricaci?n, se encuentran fuera de una instalaci?n nuclear y puedan ser utilizados con fines industriales, comerciales, agr?colas, m?dicos, cient?ficos o de ense?anza. f) «Sustancias nucleares»: son los combustibles nucleares, con exclusi?n del uranio natural y del uranio empobrecido, y los productos o desechos radiactivos. g) «Explotador de una instalaci?n»: es la persona f?sica o jur?dica titular de la autorizaci?n que le habilita para desarrollar la actividad objeto de la autorizaci?n. h) «Da?o nuclear» es: 1.? Muerte o da?o f?sico a las personas. 2.? P?rdida o da?o de los bienes. 3.? Toda p?rdida econ?mica que se derive de un da?o incluido en los apartados 1.? y 2.? anteriores, siempre que no est? comprendida en dichos apartados, si la p?rdida ha sido sufrida por una persona que legalmente est? facultada para demandar la reparaci?n de los da?os citados. 4.? El coste de las medidas de restauraci?n del medio ambiente degradado, excepto si dicha degradaci?n es insignificante, si tales medidas han sido efectivamente adoptadas o deban serlo y en tanto dicho coste no est? incluido en el apartado 2.? anterior. 5.? El lucro cesante directamente relacionado con un uso o disfrute del medio ambiente que resulte de una degradaci?n significativa del mismo, siempre que no est? incluido en el apartado 2.? anterior. 6.? El coste de las medidas preventivas y cualquier p?rdida o da?o causado por tales medidas. Por lo que se refiere a los apartados 1.? a 5.? anteriores, se considerar? que existe da?o nuclear cuando la p?rdida o el da?o se deriven o resulte de radiaciones ionizantes emitidas por alguna de las siguientes sustancias: i) Una fuente de radiaciones que se encuentre en el interior de una instalaci?n nuclear. ii) Combustibles nucleares o desechos radiactivos que se encuentren en una instalaci?n nuclear. iii) Sustancias nucleares que procedan, se originen o se env?en a una instalaci?n nuclear.
