Losses from these causes run into hundreds of millions of dollars every year and the Department is now trying to map the distribution of the parasites, so that a campaign to stop their spread may be started. If'such a campaign is not soon carried out, mapping will be unnecessary for, under conditions of modern transportation, the specialists say that all possible parasites of livestock here now or which get in this country will spread all over the country.
