L'insieme è il variegatissimo messaggio (impegno civile, ambientalismo, descrizione del quotidiano, struggente meditazione sui genitori perduti) di un artista che concepisce il mondo, pur nella sofferenza che tutti coinvolge, come un «bellissimo posto / per nascere», un posto dove «il poeta come un acrobata / si arrampica sui versi».
