Wer sich ärgert, braucht zuweilen Menschen, die zuhören und Rat wissen. Wer eine Arbeit über Ärger schreibt, braucht dies erst recht. Den Menschen, die diese vom Fachbereich I Erziehungs- und Sozialwissenschaften der Universität H- desheim angenommene Dissertation gefördert, begleitet und gestützt haben, darf ich an dieser Stelle danken. Prof. Dr. Christel Hopf von der Universität Hildesheim hat die vorliegende Arbeit betreut und begutachtet. Sie hat die Spur in die Medienforschung gelegt, meine Ideen zu einem Promotionsthema kritisch diskutiert, schließlich die Idee, den Fernsehärger zu untersuchen, befürwortet und mich darin beraten. Sie bot mir als externer Doktorandin Termine, wenn ich sie brauchte, und den frucht- ren Beratungsgesprächen habe ich immer sehr gerne entgegengesehen. So gerne hätte ich ihr meinen Dank für ihre immer wohltuend ruhige und geduldige - treuung persönlich gesagt und mit diesem Buch überbracht. Sie verstarb im Jahr 2008, und so bleibt mir nur, meinen herzlichen Dank mit der Erinnerung an sie zu verbinden. Auch Prof. Dr. Dieter Ohr (FU Berlin) kennt die Geschichte dieser Arbeit von Beginn an. Er beriet mich in allen Fragen intensiv und stellte den Kontakt zu meinen ersten Befragten – Studierende der Universität Köln – her. Damit erlei- terte er mir den Start in die Interviewphase. Hierfür und für seinen immer so wertvollen Rat, für allen motivierenden Zuspruch und nicht zuletzt für seine Bereitschaft, das Korreferat zu übernehmen, gilt ihm mein nachdrücklicher Dank.
