What did the citizens of the Soviet Union identify with? Where did the societal faultlines lie? Did mass demonstrations effectively de-stabilize Soviet order? How did informal groups come into being within a society based on uniformity? What impact did new media and new forms of interconnectivity have on the development of a multinational Soviet society? What remained after the end of the Soviet Union?Using Soviet soccer teams from Moscow (Spartak, Dynamo, ZSKA) and Kiev (Dynamo) as examples, Manfred Zeller tells a story of community and enmity in the post-Stalinist multinational empire. This brilliant monograph exposes the complex loyalties that governed group identities and explains phenomena like the love-hate relationship between Kiev and Moscow.'Moscow against Kiev' in Soviet times wasn't a question of war and peace, but in soccer it was already a feeling of 'us against them' and a question of victory or defeat in the complex multinational setting of the region.Zeller's book is an important contribution to the research of Soviet pop culture after Stalin as well as to contemporary debates on antagonism in the post-Soviet world.

A Confession' (1917), transformatives Fieber in Virginia Woolfs The Voyage Out (1915), wiederkehrendes Fieber in James Joyce' ,A Portrait of the Artist as a Young Man' (1916) und chronisches Fieber in Thomas Manns ,Der Zauberberg' (1924).

Revision And Cladistic Analysis Of The Holarctic Genus Atractotomus Fieber Heteroptera Miridae Phylinae written by Gary M. Stonedahl and has been published by this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 1990 with Atractotomus categories.

"The Holarctic genus Atractotomus Fieber is revised. Lepidopsallus Knight and Microphylidea Knight are relegated to synonymy with Atractotomus. Thirty-seven species are recognized, including 17 new species from the Nearctic region. Microphylidea prosopidis Knight, Psallus kolenatii (Flor), Rhinacloa nigripennis Schuh and Schwartz, and six species of Lepidopsallus (arizonae Knight, atricolor Knight, miniatus Knight, ovatus Knight rubidus (Uhler), tuthilli Knight) are transferred to Atractotomus. Atractotomus amygdali Wagner, A. mali (Meyer-Dür), A. rhodani Fieber, and A. vireti Wagner are assigned the status of species incertae sedis. Atractotomus femoralis Fieber and A. spissicornis (Schrank) are declared nomina dubia. Atractotomus crataegi and the remaining eight species of Lepidopsallus (australis Blatchley, claricornis Knight, hesperus Knight, longirostris Knight, minusculus Knight, olseni Knight, pini Knight, rostratus Knight) are transferred to Phoenicocoris Reuter. The following species synonymies are proposed (senior synonym first): Atractotomus albidicoxis Reuter = Lepidopsallus monticola Knight; Atractotomus balli Knight = Atractotomus purshiae Froeschner and Lepidopsallus californicus Knight; Atractotomus magnicornis (Fallén) = Atractotomus magnicornis buenoi Knight; Atractotomus miniatus (Knight) = Lepidopsallus nyssae Johnston; Atractotomus ovatus (Knight) = Lepidopsallus nicholi Knight; Atractotomus parvulus Reuter = Atractotomus mirificus Woodroffe; Atractotomus persquamosus Seidenstücker = Atractotomus brunomassai Carapezza. Illustrations and/or photographs are provided for the antennae and male genitalic structures of all species of Atractotomus. Scanning electron micrographs are presented for the scalelike setae, metafemur, and pretarsus of representative species of Atractotomus and related genera. Separate keys are provided for the Nearctic and Palearctic members of the genus. A phylogenetic analysis of species is presented using Psallus ancorifer (Fieber) for outgroup comparison. Three species groups are recognized from the resulting species phylogeny. An analysis of host plant associations suggests that Atractotomus was primitively associated with conifers, but shifted to legume feeding early in the evolution of the genus. In the Nearctic region, this was followed by separate shifts to feeding on Quercus, Salix, and Rhamnaceae + Rosaceae. Species diversity and endemism are greatest in parts of east-central and south-central Mexico. Species with restricted distributions also occur in southeastern Arizona, the Rocky Mountains, and upland regions of the Pacific coast states and Baja California. The phylogenetic analysis of species indicates a strong relationship between taxa occurring in the American Southwest and endemic species in central Mexico"--P. 4.

Revision Of New World Plagiognathus Fieber written by Randall T. Schuh and has been published by this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2001 with Miridae categories.

The diagnostic features of Plagiognathus are clarified, with characteristics of the male genitalia being used for the first time in diagnosing the Nearctic species. The North American species are revised, with a total of 86 native and 3 introduced species being recognized. Twenty-four species are described as new. Habitus, vesical, and antennae illustrations are provided for all of these species. The Palearctic fauna is discussed; vesical illustrations are provided for 10 of the 24 species placed in Plagiognathus in the most recent catalog. Twenty-five new synonymies are created. Twenty-five species are transferred into Plagiognathus from other genera or removed from Plagiognathus and placed in other genera; in addition to the new combinations with definitive generic placement, 16 species are treated as incertae sedis. Microphylellus Reuter, Chaetophylidea Knight, and Parapsallus Wagner are treated as junior synonyms of Plagiognathus. Plagiognathus reuterellus, new name, is proposed to replace Plagiognathus flavipes Reuter, 1875, a junior secondary homonym. Six neotypes and one lectotype are designated in an effort to ensure stability in the application of names within Plagiognathus. A new genus, Tuxedo, with Microphylellus bicinctus Van Duzee, as the type species, is described to accommodate five previously described taxa that do not belong to either Microphylellus or Plagiognathus, in which genera they were originally placed. The generic-group name Zophocnemis Kerzhner is elevated to generic status to accommodate its single included species, bicolor Jakolev, because that species does not fit the revised diagnosis for Plagiognathus. Myochroocoris Reuter is synonymized with Atractotomus Fieber, its single included species, griseolus Reuter from eastern North America, having all of the diagnostic characters of Atractotomus. Specimens were broadly sampled from North American museums, with particular attention paid to the fauna west of the Great Plains. The eastern North American fauna is, nonetheless, treated in detail with the most extensive attempt yet to deal with the fauna of the South. Many new host records are included, clarifying associations for some species, but still leaving the breeding habits of others in question.
