FIRE AND MUD The game on earth is based on the struggle between fire and mud. The rules of the game are communicated to them before they come to earth. A firm promise is taken from them to comply with the rules. In the game, fire cannot digest the role given to mud. Regardless of being a player, it opposes the role given to mud, insists that it is right, and tries to prove it. Using the charm and attractiveness of its role, it drags many from both its own race and the mud race behind it. The door of evil opens, and thus the trial of mud with fire begins. Davut, who serves as an examination judge in the Council of State, is driven to investigate the source of evil by his professional meticulousness, knowledge, and experience. Unexpectedly, the events in the country drag him to prison. The self-discipline lessons he received from the theology professor he met in the ward open the door he is looking for. He goes to the period when Adam and Eve were in heaven in the Yakaza realm. He arrives next to the jinn race living on earth. He witnesses the struggle between the Patiristan dynasty Tubba Patir and his sons, who accepted the prostration order to humans, and King Hannas of Katiristan, who obeyed Satan. Davut falls in love with Itır, the granddaughter of Tubba Patir. Both are caught in impossible love to experience the unexperienced. Mud burns in fire. Fire calms down in mud. While one is ready, fearless, and eager to burn in fire, the other is self-sacrificing, altruistic, and meticulous enough to sacrifice himself not to hurt him. The fire burning in their hearts does not let their minds obey. Fikret ERKAN touched the lives of humans and the jinn community. He expressed the struggle they had to endure on earth with a mythological and universal perspective.

Plato S Forms In Transition written by Samuel C. Rickless and has been published by Cambridge University Press this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2006-11-23 with Philosophy categories.

There is a mystery at the heart of Plato's Parmenides. In the first part, Parmenides criticizes what is widely regarded as Plato's mature theory of Forms, and in the second, he promises to explain how the Forms can be saved from these criticisms. Ever since the dialogue was written, scholars have struggled to determine how the two parts of the work fit together. Did Plato mean us to abandon, keep or modify the theory of Forms, on the strength of Parmenides' criticisms? Samuel Rickless offers something that has never been done before: a careful reconstruction of every argument in the dialogue. He concludes that Plato's main aim was to argue that the theory of Forms should be modified by allowing that forms can have contrary properties. To grasp this is to solve the mystery of the Parmenides and understand its crucial role in Plato's philosophical development.

Clay it Forward is a community arts program that introduces participants to a medium they may not be familiar with: ceramics - and fosters an environment of exploration and giving. Clay It Forward is the creation of Sandra Hodge an English teacher who for over 30 years has used her communication and literacy skills combined with the arts as a portal to engage learning. Clay it Forward was founded almost two years ago and is offered at over 25 events in Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario and area. A clay project can take up to 3 weeks from start to finish, Clay it Forward encapsulates all the stages of pottery making in an hour long event: Stage 1: Take it - participants get to take and keep a clay keepsake that has been made at previous community events by others. Stage 2: Make it - participants cut out a clay shape and decorate it with stamps and found items (for this project, we will "make" 2 items - 1 to be returned to the student before Christmas, the other to be sent out as a gift to another participant, elsewhere, after they are dried and fired.) Stage 3: Glaze it - participants colour a bisqued piece with under glazes - these pieces will be fired and ready to be "taken" by someone else at another Clay it Forward event. The program has several strengths: it's metaphoric: as the clay transforms through its stages and firings, so too, do we, through our various life experiences. it's educational: curriculum threads from all subject areas can be woven through the activity and used for future exploration. it's lasting: the students will "make their marks" in a near indestructible material that will "tell a story" hundreds of years from now. it's cooperative and fosters communication: students need to discuss the project, plan the execution and share the tools. it's fun; enough said! We can incorporate any themes you're currently working on, or we can make seasonal ornament/tiles. Preparation is minimal: If possible, cluster the students in groups of 4-6. Cover work areas with newsprint or paper Provide 4-6 small tubs (yogurt, margarine etc.) for rinsing brushes Provide sturdy, shallow box for transporting projects (paper boxes work well) Obtain permission for photographs to be taken and used for sharing and promotional purposes.
