Diese Arbeit handelt von den drei Formen des absoluten Geistes bei G.W.F. Hegel, welche auf die Frage nach dem Selbstbewusstsein des Menschen und der Macht bzw. Ohnmacht der philosophischen Reflexion hin untersucht werden. Die drei Formen des absoluten Geistes sind die Kunst, die Religion und die Philosophie, wobei erst die dritte Form, als Synthese und Vollendung der beiden vorherigen, den Anspruch einlösen kann, den Menschen in ein gewusstes Verhältnis zum Absoluten zu stellen. Erst in der Philosophie, erst im systematischen und selbstbewussten Denken, wird vollkommen transparent und gleichsam denkend erschlossen, was die Kunst in Stückwerken dazustellen versucht und was die Religion als Vorstellung und Gefühl eigentlich vermitteln will. Der absolute Geist kommt in der Philosophie zu sich selber zurück und wird im voll entwickelten Selbstbewusstsein frei.

Die Ph�nomenologie des Geistes ist das 1807 ver�ffentlichte erste Hauptwerk des Philosophen Georg Wilhelm Friedrich Hegel. Es stellt den Ersten Theil seines Systems der Wissenschaft dar. Der Ph�nomenologie" sollte sich die Darstellung der Realen Wissenschaften" anschlie�en - die Philosophie der Natur" und die des Geistes".Hegel entwickelt in dieser Wissenschaft von den Erscheinungsweisen des Geistes das Emporsteigen des Geistes von der einfachen, naiven Wahrnehmung �ber das Bewusstsein, das Selbstbewusstsein, die Vernunft, Geist und Geschichte, die Offenbarung bis hin zum absoluten Wissen des Weltgeistes. Dabei untersucht er das Werden der Wissenschaft als Einheit von Inhalt und Methode sowie die Erscheinungen des Geistes als Verwirklichung unseres Selbst, als Einheit von Sein und Nichts ebenso wie als absolute Ganzheit. Ort der Wahrheit ist dabei der Begriff im wissenschaftlichen System und nicht die Anschauung. Die Erkenntnis der Wahrheit liegt in der Einsicht, dass die Gegens�tzlichkeit von Subjekt und Objekt dialektisch auf einem h�heren Niveau aufgehoben wird, da das eine nicht ohne das andere existiert, beide also eine Einheit bilden.Das Werk setzt sich sowohl mit erkenntnistheoretischen als auch ethischen und geschichtsphilosophischen Grundfragen auseinander. Von besonderer Bedeutung ist die Rezeption des Kapitels �ber das Selbstbewusstsein, das die dialektische Betrachtung von Herrschaft und Knechtschaft enth�lt und ein wesentlicher Ausgangspunkt f�r Marx' Besch�ftigung mit der Analyse der Klassenverh�ltnisse in der b�rgerlichen Gesellschaft war.Die Ph�nomenologie des Geistes gilt als das erste typische Werk Hegels, auf das er sp�ter auch immer wieder Bezug nimmt. Hegel versucht hier, alle wichtigen Themen, die ihn zuvor besch�ftigten, systematisch auszuarbeiten. Er setzt sich darin mit den Positionen auseinander, die den damaligen philosophischen Diskurs beherrschten: der Kantische Dualismus, das Unmittelbarkeitsdenken Jacobis und die Identit�tsphilosophie Schellings. Das Werk wurde von Hegel zun�chst als eine systematische Einf�hrung in sein philosophisches System konzipiert. Die ersten drei Teile (Bewusstsein, Selbstbewusstsein, Vernunft) wurden von ihm sp�ter in abgek�rzter Form, als das zweite Moment des subjektiven Geistes, in das System der Enzyklop�die (1817) aufgenommen.1812 ver�ffentlichte Hegel die Wissenschaft der Logik, die sich in der Vorrede auf die Ph�nomenologie bezieht. In der Enzyklop�die der philosophischen Wissenschaften (zuerst 1817 erschienen) arbeitete er viele ihrer Fragestellungen in die Wissenschaft des Geistes" ein.

Pontius Pilatus, a roman prefect inquired one of the most important questions in philosophy. For Plato, a sentence is true if it says from whom it exists, that it exists. After Aristotle something becomes true not because we are thinking about it, we are thinking about it because it is true. For Augustine truth is, “quod ita est, ut videtur“(De vera relig. 36). The truth is eternal, timeless, non versatile and absolute. In the Scholastic, philosophers defined the truth as: adaequatio rerum et intellectuum. In the summa contra gentiles (I, 59.), Thomas Aquinas tells us : ”Veritas intellectus est adaequatio intellectus et rei, secundum quod intellectus dicit esse quod est, vel non esse quod non est.” For Descartes, the eternal truths of the mathematicians are given us by God, the truths are timeless and absolute but they can not exist outside our thoughts: “Aeternas veritates - nullam existentiam extra cogitationem nostram habentes” (Pr.ph. I, 48). Leibnitz tells us that the truth exists out of correspondence between the propositions with the things. The truth for Kant is a correspondence among the thoughts which correspond with the regulars of the mind. The eternal truth is turned into an a priority judgment. Now, we can not talk anymore of adaequatio rerum et intellectum, because the thing in itself can not be perceived anymore. Kant drew out the limits of our mind and because of this we can not have a knowledge of the absolute truth. Goethe now gives us a relative point of view: everyone can have his own truth: “Kenne ich mein Verhältnis zu mir selbst und zur Außenwelt, so heiße ich's Wahrheit. Und so kann jeder seine eigene Wahrheit haben, und es ist doch immer dieselbige“( WW. XIX, 53). Since Kant, the knowledge of the absolute truth is not available anymore, but there is a well known Philosopher, who wants to teach us that we can have a knowledge of the absolute truth. For Georg Wilhelm Friedrich Hegel, to seek the truth, to come to a knowledge of the absolute truth is the duty of a philosopher. In his first lecture at the University of Berlin, Hegel laments: “So ist das, was von jeher für das Schmählichste und Unwürdigste gegolten hat, der Erkenntnis der Wahrheit entsagen, vor unsern Zeiten zum höchsten Triumphe des Geistes erhoben worden.“ In this essay, I will try to show why Hegel believes that we can have knowledge of the absolute truth.
