The Dudek Diet Plan exposes the mortal misconception that a low-fat, high carbohydrate diet is "heart healthy." In truth, a low-fat, high carbohydrate diet will make you overweight/obese and increase your risk for atherosclerosis. Next, the Dudek Diet Plan explains in easy-to-understand terms what the correct healthy diet really is and gives you an easy-to-follow 8 week eating plan. Finally, the Dudek Diet Plan teaches you how to send your body the message "I want you to get thin" and watch your body magically respond by burning fat. If you want to learn how to be lean and trim the rest of your life, then you need to learn the Language of Metabolism, you need to read the Dudek Diet Plan.

Freedom of Speech in International Law charts the minimum protections for speech enshrined in international human rights law. It clarifies what the right to freedom of expression means under international law, identifies conflicts between law and state practice, and provides key recommendations as to how international standards should be interpreted, updated, and enforced. Each of the book's six chapters focusses on an area of the law that is being weaponized to silence the press or curtail freedom of expression. Chapters focus on insulting speech (including defamation and sedition laws), false speech (through misinformation or disinformation laws), hate speech, and speech affecting national security (in form of espionage/official secrets laws and terrorism laws). Each chapter outlines relevant state practice, identifies the conflicts that exist in international human rights law, and highlights areas for reform. Examples throughout the book demonstrate the legislative tools relied on by states to quash dissent - not just sedition, treason, and criminal insult laws that have traditionally targeted speech but, increasingly, terrorism, 'false news', and other vague laws to protect themselves against unflattering press. Recommendations at the end of each chapter aim to bridge the gap between practice and the legal obligations of both states and social media companies that have expressed voluntary adherence to the same standards. These recommendations build on existing standards, and have been endorsed by an esteemed group of experts from across the world, including the Media Freedom Coalition's High Level Panel of Legal Experts on Media Freedom.

Freedom Of Speech A Comparative Law Perspective written by Grzegorz Blicharz and has been published by Wydawnictwo Instytutu Wymiaru Sprawiedliwości this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2019 with Law categories.

Freedom of Speech: A Comparative Law Perspective offers a wide-ranging review of free speech law in Europe, the U.S., Canada and Australia, with a special focus on hate speech and on artistic and scientific speech. It provides a great deal of information on these topics, in a single volume, which presents a considerable value to anyone who wants to study the subject. prof. Christopher Wolfe, University of Dallas The book is disturbing. It encourages to pose serious questions, in particular about the phenomenon of the persecution for expressing traditional views, which ceased to be accepted by certain political and intellectual elites. It presents the context which allows us to realize how difficult it is to address such issues. Nevertheless, searching for the answers seems absolutely necessary. The analyses of the US law could be considered a universal parable about the awareness of free speech. The analyses of the law in other countries warn us how fragile the protection of freedom of expression is. prof. Franciszek Longchamps de Bérier, Jagiellonian University in Kraków The volume focuses on an important and complex theoretical question of practical value which is inscribed in the debate on the limits of freedom of speech. It is a collection of independent studies with a clearly presented central idea. Written by the authors representing not only different academic institutions and countries but even different legal cultures. Such a choice of authors offers a variety of presented evaluations, which testifies to the richness of content included in the book and is an invitation to further studies and analyses. prof. Wojciech Lis, John Paul II Catholic University of Lublin

No Freedom Without Regulation written by Joseph William Singer and has been published by Yale University Press this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2015-01-01 with Political Science categories.

A tour de force that corrects a misconception long embraced by both the left and the right about markets and regulation Almost everyone who follows politics or economics agrees on one thing: more regulation means less freedom. Joseph William Singer, one of the world's most respected experts on property law, explains why this understanding of regulation is simply wrong. While analysts as ideologically divided as Alan Greenspan and Joseph Stiglitz have framed regulatory questions as a matter of governments versus markets, Singer reminds us of what we've willfully forgotten: government is not inherently opposed to free markets or private property, but is, in fact, necessary to their very existence. Singer uses the recent subprime crisis to demonstrate: Regulation's essential importance for freedom and democracy Why consumer protection laws are a basic pillar of economic freedom How private property rests on a regulatory infrastructure Why liberals and conservatives actually agree on these relationships far more than they disagree This concise volume is essential reading for policy makers, philosophers, political theorists, economists, and financial professionals on both sides of the aisle.

First Published in 2000. Where a well-run society should rest on the continuum between public and private control has been the most contentious and thorny issue of legal and social theory throughout the generations. This series sets out to provide answers to this ongoing dispute contained in the five volumes of material assembled. The collection draws from many disciplines, including economics, law, philosophy and political science. Yet they are all directed to a topic that is worthy of examination from multiple perspectives: Liberty, Property and the Law.
