D-day is when you wake up and realize that your life is stuck in the middle of a serious dilemma and you need to move out! Living beneath your God-given potential and aspirations is the season when the sleeping leader within must be awakened to take the steps necessary to confront challenging issues of life and overcome them all. From Dilemma to a New Dimension is a four-week devotional that introduces the struggles of a historic character named Richard Allen to help inspire readers to develop and increase their leadership potential to change livesfor the better. Through learning of the many severe struggles and victories of Bishop Richard Allen, founder of the African Methodist Episcopal Church, certain aspects of spiritual fortitude can be identified by each reader to strengthen their walk with God and arrive at their destined place of promise. The brief episodes in the life of Allen help highlight the same struggles people face every day right now. The same Lord and Creator stands ready to heal, restore, and equip believers with the faith and personal stamina to move beyond the chaotic dilemmas of life to enjoy victory by creating a new-dimensional lifestyle of service and spiritual prosperity. Each meditational moment provides readers with scriptures, interesting stories related to Allens history, an insightful response, and a creative space for the reader to interject thoughts of their own.

The Asia literacy dilemma brings forward a novel approach to the long-standing global debates of Asia-related teaching and learning. By bringing into focus ‘Asia’ as a curriculum area, the book provides original commentary on the rationale and feasibility of ‘Asia literacy’ and its role and significance within and for twenty-first-century education. The book’s unique contribution lies in a comprehensive problematisation of ‘Asia’ as planned, enacted and experienced curriculum, bringing together policy, teacher practice and student experiences to present an extensive discussion. By contextualising the problematics of Asia-related curriculum within contemporary national and transnational curriculum challenges, Cairns and Weinmann take account of conflicting discourses of nation-building, ethnocentrism, transnationalism, geo-economics and the purposes of twenty-first-century education. Its use of interview data with teachers and students recentres key actors that are often sidelined in official curriculum policy discourse. The book also introduces the concept of curricularisation to describe the process through which objects and discourses of curriculum are produced and reproduced. In doing so, the book presents a comprehensive discussion of the impossibilities and possibilities of Asia curriculum in the Australian context, providing an innovative longitudinal and integrated understanding of the status quo of Asia curriculum. Highlighting the urgent need to reinvigorate the re-emerging centrality of curriculum in recent education debates around policy, teacher standards, assessmentand learning outcomes, this book is an important reference for education policy experts and academics in the fields of curriculum studies, teacher education and studies of Asia.

From Conflict Resolution To Social Justice written by Alicia Pfund and has been published by Bloomsbury Publishing USA this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2013-03-28 with Political Science categories.

This reader brings together the writings of Wallace Warfield (1938-2010), the internationally acclaimed and influential authority on conflict resolution. The selected essays highlight the importance of social context in conflicts and the future and potential of the field of Conflict Resolution. After introducing Warfield's thinking and background, a first section highlights the role of race, ethnicity and culture in conflict, through case studies and step-by-step methods on how to deal with such issues. It also addresses theoretical issues and policymaking. The second section focuses on the role of conflict resolution in society and how it could become the key to building just societies. Throughout the book, it is clear that the subjects that concerned Warfield are becoming even more relevant today. World conflicts are less between countries and more within communities confronted with socio-cultural clashes as well as issues related to economic deprivation. Individuals who have been victimized by oppressors or oppressive systems are becoming aware of their rights, while globalization and electronic communication are showing them what structural changes -pacific or otherwise- are happening around the world. Ranging from the local to the international and integrating theory with ideas and practice, this work will be a unique learning resource and reference for both students and practitioners of conflict resolution, while highlighting the legacy and contemporary relevance of a leading thinker.

The New Dimension Of International Terrorism written by Stefan M. Aubrey and has been published by vdf Hochschulverlag AG this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2004 with Electronic books categories.

The events of September 11, 2001 confronted the United States and the rest of the World with the reality of a new dimension of international terrorism. This new dimension did not start nor end with the attacks against the World Trade Center or the Pentagon, but began in the 1990s. This study examines the new dimension of international terrorism, contrasting it with the classical terrorism, the predominantly left-wing terrorist movements of the 1960s - 1980s in Europe, which were a subset of the bipolar geo-political arena. The author establishes the relationship of radical Islamist movements to the terrorist groups of the new dimension (principally focusing on Al-Qaeda) in providing the motivation for committing catastrophic terrorist acts, looks at the shadowy world of terrorist financing and makes suggestions regarding international counter-terrorist strategies.

NEW DIMENSIONS IN ELEMENTARY PARTICLE PHYSICS AND COSMOLOGY summarizes certain results of the author's theoretical research toward developing a mathematically very simple Unified Theory of Elementary Particles and Interactions (UTOEPI.) Here the masses of the particles of the Standard Model, including the Higgs boson (the the socalled God Particle), are directly represented in terms of the interaction. The book introduces a new paradigm of a three-dimensional time, as an essential extension of Einstein's relativity theory. Interrelation between the classical and quantum physics is illustrated. Examples of applications in cosmology and the significance of the neutron decay in the evolution of matter, and of life on the earth, are included.

What is Britain's future in Europe? This book revisits an old argument but for dramatically new times. The old argument is about Britain's 'semi-detachedness' from Europe and whether that posture could ever change. The new times are the crisis in the Eurozone and its wider impact on the European Union's future. While logic may point to deeper integration, the politics associated with the EU's problems make this a significant and possibly insurmountable challenge. Where should Britain stand? What future should Britain want for the EU? And how important is continued membership of the EU for Britain's future? This book offers new answers to these questions from the perspective of an author who has combined experience both at the heart of the British Government, as Tony Blair's European adviser and with years of understanding Europe from the inside - working at a senior level in the European Commission. This book will be essential reading for anyone interested in the future of British and European politics.
