Cette première monographie du bureau d'architectes O. Galletti & C. Matter est présentée sous forme d'un "Etat des lieux" de leur travail. A première vue les réalisations présentées semblent complètement différentes alors qu'elles sont fondées sur une même recherche permanente conduisant à construire des ouvrages, mettant en valeur les qualités intrinsèques de chaque lieu. En 1989 Olivier Galletti et Claude Matter diplôment et gagnent un premier concours. Suit une première réalisation en 1992 qui a reçu la "distinction vaudoise d'architecture", le "prix Andréa Palladio" et une "distinction suisse du béton". En 1994 ils construisent le centre scolaire de Fully, puis un pavillon d'exposition à Martigny. En 1998 se termine la construction d'une patinoire, espace d'exposition et marché aux bestiaux à Bulle. Suivront différentes réalisations publiques issues de concours lauréats. En 1998, un reportage de la télévision intitulé "La Romandie existe" et en 2001 " Architectour de Suisse " jalonnent leur activité entre autres publications dans les revues telles que werk bauen und wohnen, a + t, Archithèse, Bauwelt, Faces, AV monografias et AMC.
