Buku ini membincangkan beberapa permasalahan yang sering berlaku dalam sesebuah perkahwinan seperti yang dipaparkan dalam filem Madu Tiga dan Keluarga 69. Filem Madu Tiga menceritakan tentang seorang menantu kesayangan bernama Jamil telah mendapat restu bapa mertuanya untuk berpoligami. Gelagat Jamil yang beristeri tiga dianalisis dari sudut hukum syarak berdasarkan plot yang dipaparkan kepada penonton seperti faktor pendorong untuk menambahkan isteri, pelaksanaan keadilan dan tanggungjawab sebagai ketua keluarga, tatacara menjatuhkan talak serta hukum perceraian yang dituntut oleh agama. Menerusi filem Keluarga 69 pula peristiwa penting yang berlaku ialah jalinan perkahwinan yang lintang pukang antara dua buah keluarga sehingga lahir pula tiga buah keluarga yang baharu. Hubungan yang kusut menyebabkan timbul kecelaruan kedudukan pangkat dan panggilan dalam sesebuah keluarga. Penonton akan tertanya-tanya apakah perkahwinan seumpama itu sah di sisi agama? Oleh itu, buku ini telah mengupas gelagat dan isu yang terkandung dalam kedua-dua buah filem tersebut berdasarkan hukum syarak bertujuan memberi jawapan kepada persoalan-persoalan yang timbul. Di samping itu, masyarakat dapat menambahkan pengetahuan dan pemahaman agama secara santai dan bukan berhibur semata-mata. Kehadiran buku ini dapat memberi jawapan yang tepat berkaitan hukum agama secara khusus tentang permasalahan perkahwinan dan pentadbiran rumah tangga yang harmoni.
