La Chiesa professa la sua fede nello Spirito Santo come in Colui “che è Signore e dà la vita”. A dire il vero fino a pochi decenni fa la Terza Persona della Santissima Trinità era davvero il grande sconosciuto e non se ne metteva adeguatamente in risalto l’importanza, il ruolo peculiare e le qualità distintive nella Triade divina. A Dare suggello alla riscoperta della funzione essenziale dello Spirito Paraclito nell’economia divina è stata la Lettera enciclica “Dominum et Vivificantem” del Sommo Pontefice Giovanni Paolo II sullo Spirito Santo nella vita della Chiesa e del mondo, Lettera promulgata il 18 maggio 1986, che si colloca fra i documenti più ispirati del Pontificato di Papa Karol Woityla, ove egli magistralmente ha sintetizzato tutta la dottrina plurisecolare, attingendo soprattutto alla Scrittura e ai Padri della Chiesa. Ed ecco, ad ulteriore nutrimento spirituale e devozionale dei fedeli, fra tanta pregevole letteratura spirituale sullo Spirito Santo, questa piccola ed umile opera di Angelo Baglio, che non reclama nessuna pretesa di collocarsi fra i classici dello Spirito, ma vuole semplicemente infiammare i cuori dei lettori di amore, attaccamento e devozione allo Spirito Santo: un libretto scritto col cuore piu che con la mente, scaturito dall’amore sincero che egli personalmente nutre verso lo Spirito Consolatore e desidera con ardore parteciparlo ai fratelli.
