Studienarbeit aus dem Jahr 2022 im Fachbereich Geschlechterstudien / Gender Studies, Note: 2,3, Universität Augsburg, Sprache: Deutsch, Abstract: In der folgenden Ausarbeitung wird auf die Ursachen und Zusammenhänge des Gender Pay und des Gender Care Gaps sowie auf die Entwicklung dieser Gender Gaps aufgrund der COVID-19-Pandemie eingegangen, um aufzuzeigen, dass es besonders in diesen Bereichen noch immer zur Benachteiligung von Frauen und zu sozialer Ungleichheit kommt und wie diese gegebenenfalls in der Zukunft verringert werden können. Männer und Frauen haben in Deutschland faktisch nicht dieselben Verwirklichungschancen und sind nicht gleichgestellt. Dies zeigt sich besonders deutlich anhand der Gender Gaps, also anhand der geschlechtsspezifischen Unterschiede in bestimmten Bereichen. Einer der bekanntesten Indikatoren für soziale Ungleichheit zwischen Männern und Frauen ist der Gender Pay Gap, also die Lohnlücke zwischen Männern und Frauen. Einen weiteren wichtigen Indikator stellt der Gender Care Gap, der die ungleiche Zeitaufwendung von Männern und Frauen für die notwendige, aber unbezahlte Haus- und Sorgearbeit aufzeigt, dar.
