Dabei wird sich konkret auf die Situation von Genossenschaftsbanken im Wiederaufbau in Ost- und Westdeutschland, während der Wiedervereinigung und dem Aufbau in den neuen Bundesländern, während der Finanzkrise von 2008 und im Zeitalter der Digitalisierung bezogen. Mit dem Zeitalter der Digitalisierung einhergehend, werden die Aspekte Nachhaltigkeit, Regionalität und Mitgliederförderung betrachtet.
