English summary: In the essays contained in this book, Dietrich Pirson makes a contribution to a better understanding of the present Protestant church law. In nine chapters dealing with the general issues of ecclesiastical law, the history of ecclesiastical law, the constitution of the church, the law of church offices, the agreements between the Protestant church and the state, matrimonial law, ecumenical Christianity, Catholic church law and constitutional ecclesiastical law, he explores all the significant questions of Protestant church law. He deals with current single issues as well as the self-conception of the reformational churches and the difference to Catholic church law. In doing so, the author provides a detailed analysis of the special situation of the law pertaining to the constitutional situation in Germany and the inclusion of the German Protestant regional churches in the ecumenical community. German description: Mit den in diesem Werk gesammelten Aufsatzen leistet Dietrich Pirson einen Beitrag zum besseren Verstandnis des gegenwartigen evangelischen Kirchenrechts. In neun grossen Kapiteln zu allgemeinen Fragen des Kirchenrechts, kirchlicher Rechtsgeschichte, Kirchenverfassung, Amtsrecht, Kirchenvertragen, Eherecht, Okumene, zum katholischen Kirchenrecht und zum Staatskirchenrecht geht er allen wichtigen Fragen zum Kirchenrecht nach. Dieses wird sowohl anhand aktueller Einzelfragen (Juristische Personen des kirchlichen Rechts, Sakulares Kirchenrecht, Theokratie, Ius divinum, Wechselwirkungen zwischen staatlicher und kirchlicher Verfassung) wie auch unter Ruckgriff auf das Selbstverstandnis der reformatorischen Kirchen und in seiner Unterschiedlichkeit gegenuber dem katholischen Kirchenrecht erlautert. Dabei geht der Autor unter anderem auch detailliert auf die Besonderheit der deutschen staatskirchenrechtlichen Situation und die Einbeziehung der deutschen evangelischen Landeskirchen in die okumenische Gemeinschaft ein.
