Nietzsche’s reputation, like much of Europe, lay in ruins in 1945. Giving a platform to a philosopher venerated by the Nazis was not an attractive prospect for Germans eager to cast off Hitler’s shadow. It was only when two ambitious antifascist Italians, Giorgio Colli and Mazzino Montinari, began to comb through the archives that anyone warmed to the idea of rehabilitating Nietzsche as a major European philosopher. Their goal was to interpret Nietzsche’s writings in a new way and free them from the posthumous falsification of his work. The problem was that 10,000 barely legible pages were housed behind the Iron Curtain in the German Democratic Republic, where Nietzsche had been officially designated an enemy of the state. In 1961, Montinari moved from Tuscany to the home of actually existing socialism to decode the “real” Nietzsche under the watchful eyes of the Stasi. But he and Colli would soon realize that the French philosophers making use of their edition were questioning the idea of the authentic text and of truth itself. Felsch retraces the journey of the two Italian editors and their edition, telling a gripping and unlikely story of how one of Europe’s most controversial philosophers was resurrected from the baleful clutch of the Nazis and transformed into an icon of postmodern thought.

Die Weimarer Nietzsche-Bibliographie erfasst die zwischen 1867 und 1998 erschienene Primär- und Sekundärliteratur aller Sprachen und Länder. Ziel ist es, ein zuverlässiges bibliographisches Grundlagenwerk zu Leben, Werk und Wirkung Nietzsches für die internationale Einzelforschung und darüber hinaus für die Geisteswissenschaften insgesamt zu schaffen. Angestrebt wird ein hoher Grad an Vollständigkeit. Bei der Verzeichnung der Sekundärliteratur wird neben der eigentlichen Forschungsliteratur besonderes Augenmerk auf die Literatur zur Wirkungsgeschichte gelegt. Die Titelbeschreibung erfolgt weitgehend aufgrund der vorliegenden Originalquelle. An der Herzogin Anna Amalia Bibliothek ist mit der Privatbibliothek Friedrich Nietzsches und mit der Bibliothek des Nietzsche-Archivs, das bis 1945 seine Wirkungsstätte in Weimar hatte, ein Grundbestand der Nietzsche-Literatur vorhanden, der seit 1990 systematisch ausgebaut wird. Auf diesem Bestand konnte das Projekt einer umfassenden retrospektiven Personalbibliographie zu Friedrich Nietzsche aufbauen. Die Bibliographie erschließt die Literatur systematisch über Annotationen sowie über Register (Personen-, Sach- und Werkregister). Das Werk erscheint in fünf Bänden. Band 1 liegt bereits vor. Die übrigen vier Bände mit der Forschungsliteratur und der Literatur zur Wirkungsgeschichte folgen im April 2002. Insgesamt werden über 20.000 Dokumente verzeichnet. Die Weimarer Nietzsche-Bibliographie bildet die Plattform für jede Beschäftigung mit der internationalen Wirkung Nietzsches.

I contributi del secondo numero dei Quaderni Colliani cercano di restituire la ricchezza e la varietà degli scritti postumi raccolti in Apollineo e dionisiaco. Frutto di un seminario tenutosi all’Università di Torino nel 2018 (30-31 ottobre), il presente volume enuclea le considerazioni di Colli sulla filologia, l’arte, la politica, la storia e sulle origini della filosofia, così come l’influenza delle sue letture di Kant, Schopenhauer e Nietzsche. Cardine del libro è l’estensione del campo d’azione della filologia alla vita nella sua interezza. Il logos di cui è questione, infatti, non è solo la parola scritta, ma il “discorso” della vita, l’espressione di altre interiorità che vengono conosciute nella loro intima e nascosta natura. In questo senso, la filologia della vita che Colli qui propone è un metodo di indagine che prima ancora dell’analisi testuale esplora l’affinità che lega il lettore e l’autore e, in ultima istanza, i membri di una stessa comunità.
