My Talent From The King book is a gift from God to me. As I began my journey after finding Jesus, He began to show me and teach me wonderful things about His holy Word. He said in John 14–15 that He would give me a Comforter that would teach and guide me into all truth. This book has summaries of different topics throughout the Bible. There are even a few testimonies written in this book. This book was written to be a disciple (Matthew 28:19–20), to go where I couldn’t go, into people’s homes and lives as they read and found out truth versus the error of false teachers, and I thank God for giving me this gift to share with my brothers and sisters so that we can come to the truth of Jesus. Christ said, “And ye shall know the truth and the truth shall make you free.” In John 10:1–5, Jesus speaks saying to us, “Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that entereth not by the door into the sheepfold, but climbeth up some other way, the same is a thief and a robber. But he that entereth in by the door is the shepherd of the sheep. To him the porter openeth; and the sheep hear his voice: and he calleth his own sheep by name, and leadeth them out. And when he putteth forth his own sheep, he goeth before them, and the sheep follow him: for they know his voice. And a stranger will they not follow, but will flee from him: for they know not the voice of strangers.” In John 10:14–16, Jesus says, “I am the good shepherd, and know my sheep, and am known of mine. As the Father knoweth me, even so know I the Father: and I lay down my life for the sheep. And other sheep I have, which are not of this fold: them also I must bring, and they shall hear my voice [my truth which I have spoken]; and there shall be one fold, and one shepherd.”

My favorite parable Jesus told is the parable of the talents. I love that story because every time I read it I am reminded that talents are given for purpose. Creative Faith came as I struggled with my own fears and doubts of pursuing the creative talents God placed in me. In this book you will find fifteen essays where I share my own struggle in pursuing the plan I felt God lay on my heart for my life. Each of these essays were written as I was struggling within myself for the answers I was asking. Like you I often times feel vulnerable and question why and how could God use a person like me. My hope is that as you read through these you will find some encouragement to pursue your talents and trust that God has a specific plan for you and your gifts. Of all the people God has blessed with gifts, creative people are the most like Him; from nothing we create worlds. Fueled by imagination and driven by our passions the desire to create rest in each of us as constant as our own heartbeat. My hope is that in Creative Faith you will find the encouragement you need to push past fear and obstacles and pursue your place in God’s plan.

Cold Case Christianity written by J. Warner Wallace and has been published by David C Cook this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2013-01-01 with Religion categories.

Written by an L. A. County homicide detective and former atheist, Cold-Case Christianity examines the claims of the New Testament using the skills and strategies of a hard-to-convince criminal investigator. Christianity could be defined as a “cold case”: it makes a claim about an event from the distant past for which there is little forensic evidence. In Cold-Case Christianity, J. Warner Wallace uses his nationally recognized skills as a homicide detective to look at the evidence and eyewitnesses behind Christian beliefs. Including gripping stories from his career and the visual techniques he developed in the courtroom, Wallace uses illustration to examine the powerful evidence that validates the claims of Christianity. A unique apologetic that speaks to readers’ intense interest in detective stories, Cold-Case Christianity inspires readers to have confidence in Christ as it prepares them to articulate the case for Christianity.

Most people struggle to articulate their talents while many others don't believe they have any. Yet, God has blessed each of his children with innate talents and abilities. Some talents, like playing the piano or woodworking, are more easily identifiable. Others aren't quite as obvious, like empathy, peacemaking, or critical thought, and yet they hold the power to increase our energy and satisfaction in every facet of life. The purpose of this book is to equip individuals to understand talents, identify their own, and develop strategies to use them to bless their lives and serve others. Grounded in LDS doctrine and scripture, the reader will discover more about who they are, what they have to offer, and how to do more of what they love to do on a daily basis. Talents can be used in service to others, as a foundation for professional life, and to bless our families. In fact, the more we integrate them into every aspect of our lives the stronger they become and the more opportunity we have to use them.

Words of encouragement help children become the person God created them to be. Changing the words "i'm not a ..." to "i am a ..." is critical to building a positive self-concept. Children are less likely to focus on their imperfections, negative thoughts, and shortcomings when they have talents, skills, hobbies, and special interests. Children paint a mental picture of themselves from the words significant others say to them: parents, teachers, ministers.
