With countable illustrations and an easy-to-learn structure, children who are always seeking, finding, tracing, and counting numbers will be captivated by God Counts. Through simple language kids will understand, God Counts shares theological truths and helps children become familiar with Scripture, exploring the patterns of creation, numbers in the plan of redemption, and the intimacy of a personal relationship with God. This children's book explores how God counts every fish in the sea, every star in the sky, every hair on their heads, and every tear in their eyes. By discovering numbers in God's world and in his Word, parents help their children foster a deeper love and knowledge of who God is and how he counts them as his. Families will be enriched as they learn together how numbers magnify God"€"just as a telescope magnifies the stars"€"and each numbered lesson points to a larger redemptive story of Scripture. On each page, the illustrations engage readers, displaying not only a picture but a mosaic of patterns. This playful children's book serves as a beginner's theology book for young readers who love numbers and patterns, introducing the Trinity, the God of order, the holiness of God, the problem of sin, the rescue and love of Jesus, and much more. Children who love to count will be filled with wonder, leading them to understand deeper truths about God, themselves, and the world around them.

Sage Hayes affectionately known as Sister Hey loved her job at Newfound Baptist Church in Sandersville. Newfound Missionary Baptist was the largest church in the area and was well known throughout the community for having good preaching, good singing, and delicious, southern style food. It seems as though everyone in the community knew each other or a family member. Sage was the kind of woman that loved attention and sought it in different ways. She worked with some of the most creative and innovative people at Newfound. Sage loved being a support system for the staff at Newfound, especially Daniel Morgan. Daniel was the creative mind behind the Yahweh Food Bank which fed more than 200 families every month with nutritious meals as well as The Lion's Den which provided health and dental screening to poverty stricken families. Tall, muscular, and handsome Daniel was a true Christian man who sought the Lord in every aspect of his life. Sage loved Daniel and would go to any length to be with him even if it meant going against her Christian principles. She desperately wanted to be Mrs. Daniel Morgan. Armed with help from her sister, Delphina, Sage came up with a plan to hook Daniel. However, Daniel was not going to play by Sage's rules. He was facing his own challenges and was not going to let Sage get the upper hand. So, when Sage's initial plan failed, she decided to concoct a more devious plan. Sage allowed her Christian values to be compromised by participating in a momentary indiscretion. Will she be able to find forgiveness, restoration and rejuvenation?

Metanoia: A Catholic Book Series, Book Number Two: Prayer and the Tingling Grace (Second Edition) is the author’s second publication in a series of Catholic books. In Prayer and the Tingling Grace (Second Edition), the author sets forth his experience with what he calls the tingling grace. The tingling grace is a “grace of prayer,” according to one of the author’s past confessors, a Carmelite priest. As such, it has most commonly been experienced by novice monks and nuns, during prayer. However, according to the Carmelite priest, about five percent of lay Catholics also experience it. In the pages that follow, the author recounts his understanding of and experiences with the tingling grace, a sensible manifestation of actual grace given by a loving and guiding God to encourage the performance of salvific and salutary acts, such as prayer, blessings, frequenting the sacraments, spiritual reading, spiritual and corporeal works of mercy, and discernment of one's vocation. He is publishing it to testify and/or witness to this amazing actual grace and God’s love, sanctification, and guidance of ordinary Catholics, in light of the current crisis of faith inside and outside the Church. Finally, this book is part of the author’s lay apostolate of Roman Catholic witness to the reality, power, and transforming/saving Love of God, as well as the author’s response to and promotion of the Church’s “universal call to holiness” (Lumen Gentium) and the “new evangelization” (Novo Millenio Ineunte), in the electronically and globally connected virtual world of the Internet.

Attacks On Christendom In A World Come Of Age written by Matthew D. Kirkpatrick and has been published by Wipf and Stock Publishers this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2011-08-19 with Religion categories.

Though Soren Kierkegaard and Dietrich Bonhoeffer both made considerable contributions to twentieth-century thought, they are rarely considered together. Against Kierkegaard's melancholic individual, Bonhoeffer stands as the champion of the church and community. In Attacks on Christendom, Matthew D. Kirkpatrick challenges these stereotypical readings of these two vital thinkers. Through an analysis of such concepts as epistemology, ethics, Christology, and ecclesiology, Kirkpatrick reveals Kierkegaard's significant influence on Bonhoeffer throughout his work. Kirkpatrick shows that Kierkegaard underlies not only Bonhoeffer's spirituality but also his concepts of knowledge, being, and community. So important is this relationship that it was through Kierkegaard's powerful representation of Abraham and Isaac that Bonhoeffer came to adhere to an ethic that led to his involvement in the assassination attempts against Hitler. However, this relationship is by no means one-sided. Attacks on Christendom argues for the importance of Bonhoeffer as an interpreter of Kierkegaard, drawing Kierkegaard's thought into his own unique context, forcing Kierkegaard to answer very different questions. Bonhoeffer helps in converting the obscure, obdurate Dane into a thinker for his own, unique age. Both Kierkegaard and Bonhoeffer have been criticized and misunderstood for their final works that lay bare the religious climates of their nations. In the final analysis, Attacks on Christendom argues that these works are not unfortunate endings to their careers, but rather their fulfilment, drawing together the themes that had been brewing throughout their work.
