Essay aus dem Jahr 2012 im Fachbereich Soziologie - Allgemeines und Theorierichtungen, Note: 2,2, Johannes Gutenberg-Universität Mainz, Sprache: Deutsch, Abstract: In diesem Essay möchte ich aufzeigen inwiefern die Interaktionsordnung von Goffman universal auf andere Alltagssituationen zu übertragen ist. Ganz konkret beziehe ich mich hierbei auf ein beliebiges Seminar an einer beliebigen Universität. Denn besonders deutlich dort scheint eine Interaktionsordnung zu bestehen. Diese ist natürlich auch im Unterricht an einer Schule vorhanden, doch gibt es hier einige Unterschiede, worauf ich noch zu sprechen kommen werde. Zunächst aber werde ich aufzeigen welchen Einfluss überhaupt der Körper an sich auf die Interaktionsordnung hat. Dabei streife ich also die Ebene der Mikrosoziologie. Ausführlicher mit der Ordnung befasst sich der anschließende Absatz. In der Abfolge Begegnung, Handlung und Rahmen wird die Grundlage der Interaktionsordnung konkretisiert. Dass jeder, der am Seminar involviert ist, eine Rolle in sich hat, wird folgend erörtert. Die im Zusammenhang nicht unwichtig erscheinenden Statuskategorien will schließlich auch ich nicht außer Acht lassen. Dazwischen und dem Fazit anschließend möchte ich noch einen latenten Vergleich mit der Theorie von Talcott Parsons wagen und seine Orientierungsalternativen auf die gegebene Situation übersetzen. Denn dessen Theorie über die Rollenverteilung beispielsweise von Arzt und Patient kann sich auch auf die Rollenverteilung von etwa Seminarleiter und Teilnehmer im weitesten Sinne übertragen. Auch hier hat die Interaktionsordnung einen nicht zu unterschätzenden Faktor.

This volume presents for the first time a collection of historically important papers written on the concept of rationality in the social sciences. In 1939-40, the famed Austrian economist Joseph A. Schumpeter and the famous sociologist Talcott Parsons convened a faculty seminar at Harvard University on the topic of rationality. Our contemporary societies place more and more emphasis on the singular and the unique. The industrial societies of the early 20th century produced standardized products, cities, subjects and organizations which tended to look the same, but in our late-modern societies, we value the exceptional - unique objects, experiences, places, individuals, events and communities which are beyond the ordinary and which claim a certain authenticity. Industrial society’s logic of the general has been replaced by late modernity’s logic of the particular. In this major new book, Andreas Reckwitz examines the causes, structures and consequences of the society of singularities in which we now live. The Workgroup Human–Computer Interaction & Usability Engineering (HCI&UE) of the Austrian Computer Society (OCG) serves as a platform for interdisciplinary - change, research and development. While human–computer interaction (HCI) tra- tionally brings together psychologists and computer scientists, usability engineering (UE) is a software engineering discipline and ensures the appropriate implementation of applications. Our 2008 topic was Human–Computer Interaction for Education and Work (HCI4EDU), culminating in the 4th annual Usability Symposium USAB 2008 held during November 20–21, 2008 in Graz, Austria (http://usab-symposium.tugraz.at). As with the field of Human–Computer Interaction in Medicine and Health Care (HCI4MED), which was our annual topic in 2007, technological performance also increases exponentially in the area of education and work. Learners, teachers and knowledge workers are ubiquitously confronted with new technologies, which are available at constantly lower costs. However, it is obvious that within our e-Society the knowledge acquired at schools and universities – while being an absolutely necessary basis for learning – may prove insufficient to last a whole life time. Working and learning can be viewed as parallel processes, with the result that li- long learning (LLL) must be considered as more than just a catch phrase within our society, it is an undisputed necessity. Today, we are facing a tremendous increase in educational technologies of all kinds and, although the influence of these new te- nologies is enormous, we must never forget that learning is both a basic cognitive and a social process – and cannot be replaced by technology.
