Alhamdulillah, buku Antologi yang berjudul Goresan Emas Pahlawan Sejati yang ditulis oleh Guru SD Kyai Ibrahim ini telah diselesaikan dengan penuh perjuangan. Disebut penuh perjuangan dikarenakan adanya paksaan menulis di tengahtengah kebutaan dalam dunia penulisan. Hanya satu atau dua saja guru yang terbiasa menulis. Namun, di tengah keterpaksaan tersebut, guru-guru kami tetap berusaha sekuat tenaga untuk mencurahkan pikiran dan tenaganya sampai menghasilkan tulisan. Sebagian besar tulisan berisikan pengalaman guru selama menjadi guru di SD Kyai Ibrahim. Memang tidak semua pengalaman dituliskan, melainkan pengalaman yang mengesankan saja, baik kesan yang menyenangkan maupun kesan yang menyedihkan. Ada juga tulisan yang merefleksikan keadaan pendidikan terbaru saat ini, mulai dari pendidikan di masa pandemi covid-19, perkembangan teknologi pada era revolusi industri 4.0, integrasi pendikan karakter, bahkan pendidikan nilai-nilai keagamaan. Sungguh asyik ketika memperbincangkan pengalaman meskipun pahit sekalipun karena ketika diceritakan pada masa sekarang rasanya menjadi manis, seperti pengalaman pertama mengajar misalnya. Meskipun sudah mengantongi ilmu tentang pendidikan, metodologi pengajaran, dan piskologi pendidikan, tetapi tetap saja merasa canggung ketika dihadapkan langsung dengan siswa di dalam kelas. Belum lagi ditambah keragaman kemampuan dan sikap siswa, seakan-akan ilmu yang didapatkan dari bangku perkuliahan hilang ditelan bumi. Biasanya guru mulai menikmati pembelajaran setelah dua tahun mengajar. Wibawanya mulai keluar, percaya diri dalam membimbing siswa, dan mulai menemukan ritme dalam mengajar. Hal ini dikarenakan guru telah mendapatkan pengalaman ketika berinteraksi dengan siswa. Hal itu juga ditopang dengan keikutsertaan guru dalam kegiatan peningkatan sumber daya manusia (SDM) di tingkat Kelompok Kerja Guru (KKG) maupun di kegiatan-kegatan lainnya. Pengalaman guru dalam berinteraksi dengan teknologi lebih asyik lagi untuk diperbincangkan apalagi di masa pandemi covid-19 saat ini. Semua guru pasti mengalami efek kejut dari pandemi ini. Guru dipaksa untuk bersahabat dengan teknologi yang sebelumnya tidak pernah terbayangkan. Tantangan ini memberikan pembelajaran dengan jarak dan tempat yang berbeda. Tips-tips mengajar daring menjadi sangat penting. Berbagai pengalaman mengajar dengan metode daring atau pembelajaran jarak jauh dari guru-guru dapat dijadikan inspirasi untuk ditiru jika dirasa merupakan inovasi atau cocok dengan kondisi para pembaca buku ini dan masih banyak lagi pengalaman guru yang dicurahkan dalam Goresan Emas Pahlawan Sejati Ini.

Singapore has been taken by many researchers as a fascinating living language policy and planning laboratory. Language and education policy in Singapore has been pivotal not only to the establishment and growth of schooling, but to the very project of nation building. Since their inception, ‘mother tongue’ policies have been established with two explicit goals. Firstly there is the development and training of human and intellectual capital for the expansion and networking of a Singaporean service and information economy. Secondly there is the maintenance of cultural heritage and values as a means for social cohesion and, indeed, the maintenance of community and regional social capital. These tasks have been fraught with tension and contradiction, both in relation to the conditions of rapid cultural, economic and political change in Asia and globally, but as well because of the tensions between the so called ‘world language English’ and Singapore’s three other official languages, Tamil, Malay and Mandarin. This has been complicated, of course, by the challenges of vibrant regional dialects and the emergence of Singlish as a powerful medium of community life.
