W tym wydaniu zostały poruszone wybrane kwestie, które są istotne w tej problematyce, jak i również zostały ujęte tematy z wydarzeń, jakie dokonały się w przeciągu lat, a nawet wieków. Zespołowy charakter opracowania, przy stosunkowo licznym udziale autorów, wpłynął na pewne różnice w ujęciu i zindywidualizowanie cech poszczególnych rozdziałów. W sumie, jednak daje to pełniejsze i bardziej wyczerpujące ujęcie tematyki. Mamy nadzieję, że to wydanie spotka się z pozytywnym przyjęciem i pomoże czytelnikom w zrozumieniu, a także ocenie rozmaitych kwestii z zakresu gospodarki światowej i krajowej. Praca składa się z 10 rozdziałów oraz w pierwszej kolejności z wprowadzenia do tematyki gospodarki światowej i krajowej, także ta część została przygotowana od strony teoretycznej, która objaśnia ogólne definicje, procesy i trendy zachodzące we współczesnej gospodarce światowej oraz krajowej. W Rozdziale I autor przedstawia ewolucję, istotę i ważność nauki od czasów prehistorycznych, aż do współczesnych, a także jej wpływ na rozwój cywilizacji i postępu technicznego. Głównym celem Rozdział II jest wskazanie korzyści i zagrożeń wynikających dla Polski z realizacji założeń polityki energetycznej. Dodatkowo zostaną przedstawione konsekwencje związane z pogłębieniem integracji w sektorze energetycznym. Poruszana w artykule problematyka jest aktualna oraz niezmiernie ważna. Nie tylko Polska, ale cała Europa i Świat stoją w obliczu zmian klimatycznych. Konwencjonalne zasoby energii, od których Unia Europejska jest uzależniona nie są niewyczerpywalne. W przypadku Polski, nadmierne uzależnienie od importu gazu i ropy naftowej z kierunku wschodniego rodzi wiele obaw. Rozdział III przedstawia zasady fiskalne regulujące funkcjonowanie sfery finansów publicznych w Unii Europejskiej, dokonano analizy stanu finansów publicznych krajów UE oraz opisano i przeanalizowano zmiany, a także wyzwania związane z kryzysem zadłużenia. Celem Rozdziału IV jest ukazanie innowacyjnych instrumentów stosowanych w zarządzaniu ryzykiem walutowym. Zdefiniowano innowację finansową na rynku walutowym oraz wskazano na szanse i zagrożenia, jakie niosą ze sobą te instrumenty. Kolejny Rozdział V przedstawia aktualne kierunki działań podejmowanych w sektorze bankowym w Polsce w warunkach spowolnienia gospodarczego. Działania te w ramach realizowanego procesu zmian i restrukturyzacji, polegają nie tylko na unowocześnieniu i oferowaniu nowych usług bankowych, podjęciu procesu konsolidacji, ale także odbudowie zaufania społecznego utraconego nieodpowiedzialną polityką monetarną na świecie. W efekcie podjętych przedsięwzięć ma nastąpić trwała poprawa sytuacji ekonomiczno-finansowej sektora bankowego na polskim rynku. Rozdział VI, celem artykułu jest przedstawienie polityki inwestycyjnej Otwartych Funduszy Emerytalnych oraz wybranych ograniczeń prawnych związanych z podmiotowymi limitami inwestycyjnymi. W części empirycznej artykułu została dokonana analiza polityki inwestycyjnej OFE. Analiza porównawcza zastosowana przez autorkę umożliwiła porównanie portfeli inwestycyjnych trzech wybranych Otwartych Funduszy Emerytalnych w Polsce: ING OFE, Generali OFE oraz Aviva OFE pod względem rodzaju lokat, w które inwestują. Ponadto, portfele inwestycyjne OFE zostały porównane pod względem spółek wchodzących w ich skład w poszczególnych OFE. Metodą badawczą wykorzystaną w niniejszym badaniu była analiza rocznych informacji dotyczących struktury aktywów ujawnianych przez OFE. Rozważania prezentowane w niniejszym opracowaniu stanowią wstęp do pogłębionych badań nad polityką inwestycyjną OFE w Polsce. Następny Rozdział VII opisuje wpływ nowoczesnych technologii na zachowania konsumentów w polskiej gospodarce. Rozdział VIII omawia wybrane aspekty zarządzania środowiskowego na przykładzie przedsiębiorstwa z branży farmaceutycznej. Zostały w nim przedstawione ogólne kierunki polityki środowiskowej, procedurę wdrażania systemu i osiągnięte efekty środowiskowe. Szczególna uwaga została skoncentrowana na kwestii spełniania wymogów stawianych przez normy serii ISO 14000. Rozdział IX, celem opracowania jest ocena konkurencyjności międzynarodowej przemysłu meblarskiego Polski na tle krajów UE na rynku wspólnotowym. Przeprowadzono analizę wartości eksportu oraz wskaźnika ujawnionej przewagi komparatywnej, wskaźnika pokrycia importu eksportem i indeksu Grubela-Lloyda. Ostatni Rozdział X opisuje zarządzenie przedsiębiorstwem Venture Capital w krajach trzeciego świata na przykładzie KVCF.

The economic analysis of the digital economy has been a rapidly developing research area for more than a decade.
