The Government House Heritage Property served as the official residence for the Lieutenant Governor of the North West Territories, later the Lieutenant Governor of Saskatchewan, and played a significant role in the formation of the Prairie Provinces and the Territories. The property includes the Government House building completed in 1891, a museum that opened in 1981, and other features of historic and cultural interest. This report presents findings and recommendations of a review conducted to elevate public awareness of the property through site enhancement and effective marketing. It reviews the existing functional purpose and facility use of the property and its history, and presents a positive strategy to implement significant additions that will tastefully enhance this heritage site.
