Namun, perkembangan teknologi tidak dapat dimungkiri telah mengikis pelahan rasa ketertarikan terhadap budaya dan lingkungan di sekitarnya. Maka dari itu, sangat penting kiranya kita terus bergerak dinamis menjaga dan mengembangkan Desa Toyomarto dengan mengikuti perkembangan jaman tanpa melupakan akar budaya dan lingkungan. Sebagai upaya mewujudkan Toyomarto sebagai desa yang maju, mandiri, dan berbudaya, Tim Doktor Mengabdi Universitas Brawijaya tahun 2020 telah berikhtiar menyusun sejarah, budaya, perekonomian serta keunikan Desa Toyomarto dalam bentuk buku yang berjudul Grama Tirta. Buku ini disusun oleh dosen dan mahasiswa sebagai langka awal mengukuhkan ulang jati diri guna menguatkan dan memberdayakan masyarakat Desa Toyomarto, khususnya melalui sektor pariwisata desa. Dalam buku ini tertuang grand design desa wisata air dengan tumpuan pengembangan pada wisata Pentungan Sari. Berawal dari pengungkapan fakta dan sejarah lisan sejumlah mata air, kisah dan cerita lisan padukuhan dan sejumlah lokasi khusus lainnya, hingga gambaran perkembangan seni dan kerajinan lokal. Pembukuan rangkaian sejarah dan cerita lisan ini menjadi rujukan penting pengembangan konsep pariwisata desa.
