Colleen's inspiration for this book has been her sister, Kathy's, ongoing fight with ovarian cancer. Colleen is currently working on a second children's book about cancer. Dr. Rolf Peter Hampel-Landsberg, MD Dr. Rolf Peter Hampel-Landsberg, MD, born on May 1, 1962 in Frankfurt am Main, is a specialist in cardiac and thoracic surgery. He never thought that he would illustrate a children's book. After his wife's manuscript had been ready for years and no one was found for the illustrations, she convinced him to just start drawing. What he initially thought was just a funny idea quickly became a reality. He noticed that he enjoyed drawing and painting and that it even balanced out his hectic professional life. From their start to finish, all ten drawings for the children's book were created within a very short time. After tons of drawing and painting utensils were purchased and the joy of painting developed, he and his wife decided that he would continue to illustrate his wife's books for children. In addition to this newly gained hobby, his other hobbies alongside his wife include motorcycling, dancing, playing the piano, playing board games, and watching soccer and Formula 1.
