Al analizar el discurso del poder en la Argentina, desde la crisis de 2001 hasta la pandemia, se obtiene un gran aprendizaje para el mundo académico y profesional de la comunicación, en especial, si nos focalizamos en los casos conmocionantes que mejor escenifican los principales géneros del discurso político: el de gobierno, el electoral y el de crisis. Más allá de las evidentes diferencias ideológicas del kirchnerismo y el macrismo, existe una gran divergencia en la gestión de la comunicación. Una verdadera teoría de los medios y del poder del relato sustentan las decisiones discursivas del kirchnerismo. La construcción del discurso macrista, en cambio, opera como una formulación contraria de aquella estrategia comunicacional. Al mismo tiempo, la mediatización evoluciona de un contexto de medios masivos a uno signado por la plataformización de la política, en el que los políticos pierden control del destino final de sus discursos. Dos modelos de comunicación se contraponen, entonces, en este período de la comunicación política. Al relato se contrapone la conversación, y al marco conceptual de la política, el del marketing. El estudio de la comunicación política en estos años nos permitió acrecentar las herramientas conceptuales para ayudarnos a comprender mejor cuáles son las condiciones comunicacionales tanto para los gobiernos como para los ciudadanos.

The lack of evidence has proved to be the greatest obstacle involved in reconstructing the quaestorship and has probably discouraged scholars from undertaking a large-scale study of the office. As a consequence, a comprehensive study of the quaestorship has long been a desideratum: this book aims to fill this gap in the scholarship. The book contains a study of the quaestorship throughout the Roman Republic, both in Italy (particularly at Rome) and in the overseas provinces. It includes a history of the office, an analysis of its role within the cursus honorum and its larger importance for the Roman constitution as well as the prosopography of all quaestors known during the Republican period based on the literary, epigraphic and numismatic evidence. The quaestorship was always an office for beginners who aspired to follow a political career and hence served as institutional entrance to the senate. Despite their youth, quaestors were endowed with functions of great significance at Rome and abroad, such as the control and supervision of Rome’s finances. As the book shows, the quaestorship was a prominent and essential part of the Roman administration.
