El libro que presentamos al lector pretende contribuir a llenar un cierto vacío en la literatura sobre las ideas políticas en la Argentina. Partiendo del estudio de las vicisitudes de la difusión del pensamiento de Antonio Gramsci y de los cruzamientos polémicos entre las interpretaciones que tales ideas inspiraron, aborda una experiencia seminal de la nueva izquierda: la empresa cultural y política del grupo de intelectuales encabezado por José María Pancho Aricó, surgida en Córdoba en 1963 con la publicación de la revista Pasado y Presente.
